I love Mrs Meers. As much as I think Julie Andrews and others are superbly cast in this film, I can't imagine this movie without Bea Lillie as Mrs Meers. Mrs Meers is cool - the opening sequence of her trying to make the lift work is inspired - I howl with laughter when I see it.

@Cesteth Yep, me too. I lived in a small town in the countryside when I was a child. On moving to London when I was 20, I used to love it if I got an elevator to myself - I'd always dance on the way up or down. (For the curious, it's not as easy as you think - elevators are fairly well sprung, and you do bounce a bit. Good fun though.)

i think it is at the beginning the first person in the elevator is in one of the books pictures but now im anoid because i cant find it, it's eather Beatrice, Kit, or Esme and at the end thats olaf then is when i think Beatrice took the sugar bowl from Esme. so at the beginning i think it was Kit then Beatrice and Esme together the second time but thats when they were friends and olaf peformedat the end... i think
