  • don't worry, its halal ;)

  • I can't believe that so many people hate on muslims without knowing nothing except ALWAYS BAD media from their countries about islam. these people really think that WE are bad.

did you even make any research. an example of thousands: 9/11: some terrorists idiots made the crash, 2000 people died. It's not even clear that they were muslims.

and what did america after that ?

they KILLED 250'000 muslims in the orient.

some people just don't want to see the truth where the evil really comes

  • Although I've kind of fused religions together, mostly Buddhism with a lot of Islam, my respect for Islam is very very high. الحمد الله

  • the writing on the album cover looks like arabic. i know it's not, but it kind of looks like it.

  • @Sheltonrahman Akhi first off if your saying that this music brings peace to your heart and increases your imaan and that Qur'aan and ahaadeeth then you have to know that shaytaan is playing tricks with your heart. Allaah says: "Indeed, with the remembrance of Allaah to the hearts find comfort." And the prophet peace be upon him said when he was dying: "I have left the book of Allaah and my sunnah for you.If you hold on to it you'll never go astray." The reason that the Qur'aan and ahaadeeth

  • I think Lupe is Dope.

I wonder how many non muslims listen to Lupe and other muslim rappers and does listening to Lupe (and other muslim artists) raise your interests in learning about the Muslim faith ?

Peace and Harmony to all mankind.

  • @NyxRedvines Matisyahu

  • I wish intelligent rappers like Lupe would realise that god don't exist, religions were made to control people. Surely anyone with half a brain would realise the idea of a god is ridiculous.

  • All praise is due to GOD ...Amen!

  • I wish this was as popular as his other songs, it should really clarify things for people who think is a religion sent by the devil.

  • mashallah

  • @surayzee A3udhu Billaah...So you would have this guy represent you instead of all the scholars of our ummaah?! May Allaah guide you.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir much respect for our scholars, but i was talking more about the mainstream, especially in the west. they don't know about our scholars, but they do know lupe, and he represents a positive image. however in terms of the muslim ummah, you are right, the scholars truly our leaders

  • @surayzee ahstastahfer allah bro, instead of criticizing one for there efforts maybe they should be encouraged for them. . this is one of our main problems in the muslim world. the holy prophet rahsullulah m.p.b.u.h. has said / when seeing a wrong commited should act against , shahabi (friend) asked o, holy prophet wat if we cannot? he answered , then one should speak out against it. amen. o, an bro may allah guide you an all of us .

  • @jerkavonful sorry but i'm confused, i didn't criticize anyone

  • Im converting to Islam :D

  • @409Ace

    that i great ...welcome

  • @409Ace May Allah bless you my friend. Watch sheikh Imran Hosein if you want. He talks about the end times it's very interresting.

  • @409Ace Please do not be a salafai who really needs to pray all the time. Pray only when you are worthy in front of The Lord. The Almighty loves one who respects him while he prays better than the one who always prays. Please don't be a wahabbi. P.S. Im a sufi.

  • @derpenflergen why do you try to influence him? there should be no groups in islam, we know that. anyways a convert chooses to be a Muslim first of all, nothing else!

Every Muslim has to follow the Quran and Sunnah.

  • @409Ace Welcome to Islam! :)

  • Comment removed

  • @TheRaoudah No, YOU! fear Allah. Did you know that if you say that a muslim is not a muslim you just made YOUrself a kaafir?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheRaoudah LOL-which verse in the Quran says that we can be engineers, doctors, professors, policemen, etc.? Get your facts straight- everything is permissible unless it's denounced in the Quran, such as alcohol, adultery, excessive greed, etc.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 let me tell u suttin first of all allah swt sed that we can have jobs but are money has to be halal lupe fiasco is all up in the music videos and WITH half naked girls now do u think the money that hes earning as a celeb is still halal seriously and a fact that all muslims should noe is music is haram an incase u dont noe wat dat meens it meens PROHIBITED.

  • @TheRaoudah I never said that dancing with half-naked women was halal - all I meant was that your reasoning before was weak "where in the Quran does it say that you can be a celebrity" and it's critical to properly explain things. Your last response was better, but just so you know, a celebrity means "a famous or well known person."

  • @TheRaoudah Also, let's not be too harsh on him and instead focus on the positive - he's actually spreading the message of Islam and creating more awareness while there are people who are actually defaming Islam and spreading hate against Muslims.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 but seriously think about it r u arab? if u r there r these islamic arab shows where all the sheikhs spread the word on tv an they even translate in english an diffrent languages but like y would he b a person who wants 2 dance with girls an now he wants 2 b the good Lupe fiasco whos talking about his religion. wen is he planning 2 b a good muslim is he waiting 4 death? seriously walahi wen death approaches ur going 2 b like im not prepared i cant go to god with all these sins.

  • @TheRaoudah Am I arab? No, I'm American but why does that matter? Who are you to judge people about being good Muslims. We should all be focusing on ourselves. Who ever said he was a hyprocrite- living as a rapper and then trying to be the good Lupe Fiasco? Maybe he just wanted people to stop hating Islam and I think it's great that he's used his celebrity to benefit Islam in America and mend interfaith relations. I'm a devout Muslim and I think this rap is great.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 listen im not trying 2 b racist i juss sed there is a channel wich they have sheikh who presnt islam in a more apropraite manner. sry bout mi spellin im on mi fone. an ask any sheikh they will tell u that lupe fiasco's career is haram. even music is haram. on the day of judgement arrows that burn the sharp tip of firw will peirce our ears

  • @TheRaoudah Again I will request that you stop this chain of comments and let people enjoy the rap please

  • @AbdurRahman1776 o yea an where is ur proof that being a celeb is halal unless its denounced in the quran an plus the sheikhs that are on the tv r not celeb they r scholars

  • @TheRaoudah I see your logic isn't great - I never said that being a celeb is halal. I said that your reasons in the first response were very weak and that you can't apply that logic everywhere because many jobs aren't mentioned in the Quran. In the next response you gave better reasons. Also, I never said that the sheikhs on tv are celebs. Again your reasoning is very poor. Just stop commenting and listen to the rap- or exit youtube.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 Bro if your going to debate with somebody, don't defend the haram. Maybe this person was short on explaining that issue to you, but that doesn't mean you can automatically defend yourself with music like it is halal. You might say that your not saying music is halal by word, but you sure are defending it like its the Qur'aan. Subhanallaah, it grieves me to see people who feel this way towards music but don't feel in anyway obliged to defend the Qur'an like how they defend music.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir It grieves me that you make such a bold assumption that I think music isn't haram or that you think I was defending music. I never said it was halal. Yes, someone recommended this video to me and I found it interesting, but that does not imply that I think music is halal. In Islam we do not make such assumptions about our brothers; we always make excuses for them (refer to the hadith of the Prophet regarding this).

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir ooohh hahahah mo its rda u trashed him hahahah! U NOE WAT ABDURAHMAN UR CLERALY ROOOONG!!! AN U NOE DIS GUT TRASHED U lol :D

  • @AbdurRahman1776 And by the way, Lupe's career is haram because he's making a living by making music. And this is definetly no way to spread the word of Islaam. You could say it depends on the intention, but Allaah knows best his intention maybe better than you and mine, but the action is downright wrong...

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir Wow, your assumptions shock me. I never even said that Lupe's career is halal, just like I never said music is halal. Please refer back to one's original statements before making such accusations. So please don't patronize and create unnecessary arguments. If you look back, my main emphasis was just on the potential good that he's done with his fame, but I never said this would lead him to jannah or that he had strong emaan; that's for Allah to decide.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 hahahah shaykh muhammad juss trashed u admit ur rooong an plus GET IT THROUGH UR HED LUPES FIASCO'S CAREER IS HARAM AN HES NOT SPREADIND DA WRDOF ISLAM IN A PROPER MANNER. dont reply cuz im not replying hahhaahah dis debate is fun!! :D

  • @TheRaoudah Ok bro, I admit I'm wrong and your right. But let me ask you, do you think that last comment was looked upon favorable in the eyes of Allah? If you were just here to win an argument and then insult someone, then you have succeeded. Congrats.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 Ok I apologize for making assumptions, but this didn't do him any good to his fame because it didn't do him any good with Allaah...and I want to ask you, if you know music is haraam why did you watch this (If your wondering why I'm even commenting its because I heard about the video and that it was really good so I heard like 2 seconds of it and stopped, then I started looking through the comments.)

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir First off, you don't have to justify to me why you're here - that only matters in the eyes of Allah. Likewise, I don't have to explain to you why I'm here. But Your right, I have a ways to go to become pious like you (not being sarcastic) so inshaAllah please make dua for me. Shouldn't we as brothers in Islam have have only good thoughts of each other. Salam

  • @AbdurRahman1776 Jazakallaahu Khairan...Who knows..you could be better in the sight of Allaah then me...May Allaah guide us all

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir "TheRaoudah" just messaged me and said "hahah Shaykh Muhammad just trashed u" and I certainly don't think that you trashed me. It's people like him that I'm worried about. You were rather polite by apologizing but he, after sounding like a scholar, did a very unscholarly move by saying that - pretty immature. He also said admit your wrong...looks like he was just debating to win, not to gain something valuable.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 Jazakallaahu khairan...thats actually my sister so you'll have to pardon her May Allaah pardon us all. She doesn't know too much, not that I do either but I'll tell her though :)

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir subhanAllah what a coincidence. Wa iyyakum and no worries akhi - she'll be all right inshaAllah with a brother like yourself.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir Music isn't forbidden. Do not forbid what God hasn't forbidden, truly there is great flaw in that! Just because your teacher told you music is forbidden, doesn't make it true. Study the Quran for yourself, and you will find that there is banning of music.

  • @isubo In the Qur'aan it says: "And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e.music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allâh without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allâh, or the Verses of the Qur'ân) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire)." Ibn Abbass (the prophet's cousin) said that the idle talk were music, singing, listening to music, buying musical instruments, and paying people to perform with musical instruments.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir It cannot be all music, just some music. The music that misleads people from the path of Allah is wrong, not all the music. If I were to write a piece of music that leads people towards the Path of Allah, would you forbid it?

By the way, you know that (random text) isn't in the Quran?

  • @isubo Yes brother. All music is haraam. You don't need to lead to Islaam with music. When people do that it resembles the singing of the Christians when they sing and say God's name. Hasan Al-Basri also said that remember Allaah by singing is not from Islaam. It is a bid'ah because your singing with music which is haraam and your telling people about the Qur'aan and the Sunnah which state that music is haraam. Whats permissible is poetry without music and sound effects.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir People reciting the Quran are usually singing it. Is that also forbidden?

  • @isubo Ibn Mas'uud swore 3 time that idle talk was music, etc. This was also Hasan al Basri's (a great scholar) position. And in Saheeh al Bukhaari, there was a hadeeth in which the Prophet peace and blessing be upon him said: "From my ummah there will be tribes who will make halaal (by the way if you say something is halaal and it has been clearly stated haraam then you have committed an act of disbelief because Allaah has said something and you have said otherwise) fornication, silk (for men),

  • @isubo intoxicants, and music instruments (or any musical objects that can make music). Then a Shepard will come and ask them for some needs and they will tell them come tomorrow, and Allaah will destroy them and make the mountains fall upon them and turn others from them into monkeys and pigs." So what is understood from this that all musical instruments are haraam. Whether it is drums, or even the a beat on a desk or something, or even a beep-box with your vocal chords because it makes music.

  • @isubo Keep in mind, everything I quoted was from the Qur'aan and the Sunnah and was 100% authentic so you can't prove me wrong.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir Ahadith arn't sure to be 100% authentic. Saying it is makes you a very naive person or a liar.

  • @isubo Yes these are authentic. That aayah is from the Qur'aan and that hadeeth is in Sahih Al-Bukhari and it can traced back to the Prophet. You can check the isnaad yourself.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir The aayah doesn't say anything about music. But of 'idle talk'.

God His words do not run out, He stated in the Quran. Therefore if he would forbid it why not put it in the Quran? It doesn't make sense.

  • @isubo The thing is Allaah did say music was haraam in the Qur'aan in the aayaah I quoted for you. Do you know what tafseer is? It means commentary. So when an aayaah like this can be misunderstood, the scholars look into its meaning and explain it in detail to the people. Keep in mind, the scholars such as Ibn Abbaass would never make assumptions. So how are you going to say the aayaah doesn't say anything about music? Are you saying more than Ibn Abbaass who learned from the Prophet himself?

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir *Are you saying you know more than Ibn Abbaass*

  • @isubo We never follow scholars blindly for your information. We follow what Allaah and prophet Muhammad peace be upon him tell us blindly. These scholars STATE exactly what is said in the Qur'aan and the Sunnah and give rulings based on them, such as the ruling that music is haraam. Why is music haraam? Because it is proven in the Qur'aan and the Sunnah.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir along with having to deal with hypocracy and the ummah and my own kind muslims getting upset, also having to watch what i say out of fear of someone on the other side hearing me things can get a little rough,

  • @Sheltonrahman That this salafi movement is extreme and that these salafis call everybody kaafir but that is wrong. When you call yourself salafi, your saying that you follow the Qur'aan and the Sunnah according to the understanding of righteous predecessors who are the companions and the 2 generations after them. But know that you don't have to call yourself salafi to say that you follow the Qur'aan and the Sunnah. If you call yourself a salafi and do innovations then you are an innovator.

  • @Sheltonrahman As for shias, why do the people of the sunnah hate shias? Because if you look at the way the shias act and refer back to the Qur'aan and the Sunnah, you'll see that there ways are completely different. Would you like to slash yourself from dawn to dusk on the 10th of muharram? Of course not. Allaah says: "And do not kill yourselves." As for the pressure, its something everybody faces. Allaah says: "And certainly, we shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth,

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir lol, its all okay bro, look we should both lighten up over the matter, i will try to cut down on my music insha allah, and you can learn from this expirience how to be a better lecturer. Also, the 10th of muharram is not celebrated the same way by all shias, some of them just make really mourn nasheeds to mourn. Also, i believe the part of the quran your talking about it "do not with your own hands, hurl yourself to your own distruction". i used to do lecturing to you know.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir i had a whole blog, where at a certain point i declared music haram, along with video games. I looked back and i saw how much of a jerk i was being. you cant just tell people to stop listening to music, you have to tell them in a way, so they want to stop.you see, i know brothers that if i think if music was taken away, they might just leave islam entirely (mostly reverts). Islam isnt a bunch of rules and restrictions, but permissable things and blessings.

  • @ShaykhMuhammadSamir why would music be haram? does the Qur'an explicitly state or imply that? Stop having wahhabi and salafi level thoughts and morals. Allah is the most high and the most forgiving who will forgive most of us. Music is just for the pleasure of human beings' minds

  • @derpenflergen Music would be haraam because the Prophet said it was haraam in more than one hadeeth. In an incident he put his fingers in his ears when he heard the flute. And one time one A'isha was still young she had to little girls on Eid who were with her in the Prophet's house who were chanting songs of bravery and beating duffs without any bells or anything (duff is a simple drum). And Abu Bakr walked in the Prophet's house and exclaimed: "The flute of the Shaytaan in the house of the

  • @derpenflergen Prophet?! (Referring to the duff)" And the prophet said: "Abu Bakr leave them because for every peoples there is celebrations and today is our celebration." So without jumping to conclusions and trying to use my own proof against me, notice that these little girls didn't pass puberty so the prophet allowed them because of that and because it was Eid. Also, the prophet didn't disagree with Abu Bakr that this was the "flute of shaytaan" because if he did disagree he would have told

  • @derpenflergen him that it wasn't. And Abu Bakr said that it was the flute of shaytaan because he must have learned it from the prophet. So what is understood from these ahaadeeth that wind instruments are haraam (such as the flute) and duffs and drums are haraam except on Eid when little girls who didn't pass puberty are beating them. Secondly, Al-Wahhab is the attribute of Allaah the Bestower and your using it put bad labels on other people only because a scholar named Shaykh Muhammad ibn

  • @derpenflergen Wahhaab called some foolish Sufis who were committing shirk in Arabia to Tawheed. And the salafi is from the term As-Salah As-Saalih (The Righteous Predecessors) who were the companions, the tabi'een (followers i.e of the prophet and the companions), and the tabi' at'tabi'een (the followers of the followers, the companions, and the Prophet). So your giving people bad labels from what the sahaabah, etc. are, whom the Prophet praised. So be careful of what you label people.

  • @derpenflergen Thirdly, stop having murji'ah level thoughts that everybody who commits any sin will be forgiven.(By the way, I challenge you to find a name where murj'iah is used in a good way. These are people whom the sahabah labeled and refuted) And you said Allaah will forgive us. For what? It seems as if your admitting that music is a sin and the you will be forgiven for it. Fourthly, we don't need music to please our minds and put them at ease when we have Qur'aan which puts hearts at ease.

  • @drfred26 lmao its funny how stupid athiest like you make dumbass remarks against people beliefs wich you know NOTHING about

  • @ectrian you are so gay man I hate it wen people talk bad about others religion and they don't even no about it a muslim and I'm proud just because Osama was a bad man dosent mean we all r. Wht i wht ever religion u r I just made fun of it and say fuck all Jews or fuck all christians

  • Allahu Akbar!!

  • This song had insulted the Prophet Mohammed !

  • @u18nffc HOW??

  • Isn't it interesting how Lupe mad this rap to unite people, but it seems to be creating so many disputes among christians, muslims, jews, atheists...

  • I really wish you idiots who don't know anything about Islam would just shut up. There are terrorist of every religion, does that mean all religions are religion of terror? No. It just means that you idiots are too ignorant to learn anything. Open up a Damn book once in a while. It'll help your brain grow.

  • 'loving this song, bless you brother Lupe x

  • lupe needs better debate skills. he has the idea but couldnt control the conversations direction.

  • @beduhema what do u mean?

  • Fact: Islam is the world's fastest growing religion. nuff said

  • @AbdurRahman1776 Fact: Israel will soon occupy all the middle east

  • @ectriand Your comment makes me sad...

  • @ectriand say what you want on youtube vids, but you can never stop the spread of our religion

  • @ectriand lol, just another uneducated hick that cant get over something that happened A COUPLE THOUSAND YEARS AGO. shit, the japanese got over hiroshima in fifty years yet jews cant get over arab tribes that took there land a thousand years ago. get over it you whiny bitch

  • @yass278 The pure race of jews has been tainted by Islam and its ways, Jews should use white posphorus on Iran and claim stolen land that they rightfully own

  • @ectriand pure race??? do your recearch... Christians and Muslims were living peacefully in palestine, but then the Jews came by the hundreds of thousands and took over. They stole the land... In the torah it says that the jews can have the land after the prophet returns..he hasn't come back yet... Now most of the jews in israel are racist and facist, the truth hurts doesn't it. hope this helps you...

  • @SUPERTAL10 I guess nazi's still hate Jews.. Muhammed is the reason why people are dying, he was a terrible commander and the only reason why jews aren't pure is because they live on impure land, jews should own all of the middle east because of hitler, jews should nuke Iran, which sounds suspisciously kike Aryan. Fucking nazi.

  • @ectriand ll butthurt jew

  • @SUPERTAL10 like**

  • @ectriand lol i love when Jews think there tuff.

  • @Almin192 i love when arabs suicide bomb buildings and kill children in the name of 'god'

  • @AbdurRahman1776 Fact: Islam, Christianity, in fact all religion is ridiculous. Only the uneducated and close minded people choose religion. The Qu'ran and Bible are both flawed to the extent you might as well take every word from Harry Potter as FACT.

  • @drfred26 ...I really don't get what you hope to accomplish by that. You've done nothing to change my beliefs and you can't change the views of 1.5 billion Muslims all over the world and the rapidly increasing number of converts, as Islam is the world's fastest growing religion. So go ahead, take your cheap insults in the form of youtube comments and I will continue to live as believer in God while you continue to live your meaningless life- no one's stopping you.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 Go to this channel and watch their videos. The guy has read the Qu'ran 6 times and is still a non believer. He knows the book inside OUT and disproves EVERYTHING you muslims claim to be true from the Qu'ran. Just watch it, it may help guide you from something that simply does not exist.

    youtube.com/user/TheIslammiracle?feature=g-u

  • @drfred26 Sure I'll watch this video if you can make an effort to learn about Islam from a non-prejudice source. I'm guessing you're one of those people who really get fired up about hating and defaming Islam behind the anonymity of youtube accounts. I mean I highly doubt that you would say all those hateful things to me if you came to my clinic or if your college professor, colleague, or boss was a pious Muslim.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 i don't hate people who adopt Islam. I just want them to know, what i believe is the truth. I never intend to be rude just to prove a point. good day

  • @drfred26 Look, you're American and I'm American and since America is supposedly the country that has the greatest freedoms, why is it necessary to insult the views that you don't believe in. My friend on the debate team was a super smart guy who happened to be atheist but was also the nicest guy ever, even though he obviously didn't believe in anything I practiced. You said you never intend to be rude, but you called my religion ridiculous and said I was close-minded and uneducated.

  • @drfred26 People will choose to believe what they want and the good thing in the US is that I can easily practice my religion by praying at the several mosques in my city. Aside from that, I watch the Packers, play tennis, and I think I do give back to society. But when I want people to know what I believe is the truth, I don't insult them, not even on youtube. After all, I think most people have better things to do than spend their time hating on others via the internet.

  • @drfred26 As a practicing Muslim, especially one living in the US, my only objective is to invite you to learn about Islam in a proper way. Aside from that, it's up to you- no one can dictate your beliefs, obviously. Since I've completed my objective, I hope this will end the discussions between you and I. Have a good day.

  • @AbdurRahman1776 actually second fastest. mormons have come out the fastest after this year -_- im not hating on them cause im a muslim but that shocks me lol

  • @yass278 oh haha, then I guess I meant to say fastest growing mainstream religion (seeing as how there are 1.5 billion Muslims as opposed to only 15 million mormons in the world).
