  • its a telephoto lens u foolss....

  • Just gorgeous!

  • Holy shit how fast is that seagull flying at 1:03? ;)

  • I was there in real life watching this. Hella cool.

  • Great flyby! Nice job =)

  • Fleet week doesn't belong in SF. I made the mistake of walking on the sidewalk near one of those navy terrorist ships and some 19 year old asshole with an M-16 machine gun in DOWNTOWN SAN FRANCISCO wanted to shoot me because I have dark complexion. THIS IS OUR CITY we don't want white christian psychopaths from Alabama turning it into yet another racist, violent shit hole. If you want to see these killers and their toys, go visit them in some other city.

  • This plane flew over my house in The Netherlands 2 minutes ago!

  • Still the best commercial aircraft on the planet!

Someday it will be replaced by a much faster commercial aircraft that i hope to see in my life time. I know they are being tested, but i just hope to see one roll out B4 i pass. Imagine traveling to the phillipines from california in about 3 hours! I know the planes are coming i just cant wait..I am giddy with anticipation.

  • 0:06 - "thats like Kai Tak man" - agreed!

  • haha this video is about a plane racing a bird or what?

  • Do people really have that much problem with depth perception... really?

  • Very nice Flyby vid! Thanks for sharing!

  • Reminds me of the IGS-13 approach in the old Hong Kong airport. Sadly that airport's gone

  • tower from road to top is 500 feet... 747 wingspan is about 190 ft tip to tip

  • Loved it!

  • Great video, I once saw a 727 and separately a DC10 do a low pass at Opalocka Air Show in Florida back in the 80s. A few hundred feet altitude, but both planes were doing close to 500 mph when they passed over.

  • Hey, Britoca ! I'm happy to waste my french time with you, and I shared your video on my facebook account today. I just wanted to say "Bonjour"! and thanks a lot for sharing that impressive moment. Take care and carry on. Abby.

  • please check the video info for answers to your questions, thanks

  • What is wrong with United. Idiots!

  • This is fake because of 1:03 .

  • At the end....the bird is flying faster than the plane :-D

  • @NallePu83 Matter of perspective.. the birds closer than the plane so yeah it will seem to fly faster than the plane as it crosses your line of sight

  • Fucking intresting :)

  • That's awesome!

  • Has anyone seen how freaked out CNN made this? I swear, the CNN news anchors have no depth perception...that or never been on the bridge before.

  • Nice video, thanks for sharing. Congrats on all the news media choosing your video over the others out there. Quite a compliment. (:

  • THAT'S VERY NICE NEXT TIME DO A SHOW LIKE THAT IN MIAMI LET'S PUT FUEL IN THE PLAINS AND LET THE UNEMPLOYMENT GROW AND LET'S PUT A ADVERTISING THE CLEAN AND GREEN TO THE OTHERS COUNTRY. THE ONLY CHANGE THAT I SEE IN THIS ADMISTRATION IS THE COINS THAT EVERY AMERICAN HAVE IN HIS POCKET AND THE BIG ONES ARE PROFITING

  • I was there that day and it was a great show with great weather. The presence of the UA 747-400 surprised some people. Overall a great experience.

  • Everyone is making a big deal over nothing it was a planned thing so yea let's move on.....

  • Look closely. When the 747 looks close to the GGB, the 747 wing looks longer than the two top sections of the bridge tower. But the 747 wing is ~100ft and the top two sections of the bridge are about 200-250ft. That means the plane is actually much closer to the camera, and not really that close to the bridge ...

  • @modernmojo thanks for that, I was about to add a rough explanation of proportion and perspective but you took care of it

  • I like how CNN makes it seem like the aircraft almost crashed into the bridge. What retards.

  • They just showed this video on the nbc nightly news!

  • @SuperAppletart cool! search kaylee is a loser

  • This is a great video! Thank you for sharing. I saw this on CNN (and I can't believe they just repost crap off break.com) and posted a debunk of the "near miss" scenario on my blog.

I'm curious: where were you standing?

@Chilling10680: You know when the airshow is. The blue angels show up the week before, and everybody knows.

  • Youtube seems to think I was spamming, so you can find my blog at fourthfall at wordpress

  • Amazing thrust with those four turbofans....balls out!

  • @britoca I guess Ray William Johnson is gonna take this up now.

  • I'm not going to lie, first thing I thought was that someone who didn't know about the air show would think "Terrorist attack."

  • you know this is featured on msn's first page????

  • 1:01 , Haehae.. the seagull passed that 747 like nothing! o.O

  • finally someone knows how to hold camera while recording (and zooming)

  • Very Nice video.... Great Job. One of the best that I have seen. Keep up the great work.

  • well done from both,: pilot and cameraman, thx for sharing

  • My gosh! The plane looks like a plane, the bridge didn't move, and the sky is blue.

  • Excellent airmanship by the guy performing the flyover.

So we've seen a modern jet just pass by the Golden Gate like it was going to do a touch and go, any modern jet jockeys feel like attempting to go under it?

Come on, any Raptor, Hornet, anything driver feeling lucky?

    ...nobody?

    ...aw.

  • Now that's a sight ;)

  • Clarification:

This was a planned maneuver for an air show. The airplane was well clear of the Golden Gate Bridge.

This was not a "close call", or near-accident, where the plane had to divert away from the bridge as some seem to be interpreting it.

  • talk about an FAA violation

  • even though it was well away from the bridge and all that, i gotta wonder if they at least let everyone in the area know ahead of time that they would be doing it, just so people on the golden gate bridge at that time dont start freaking out when they see a low flying aircraft

  • 0:33 is awesome!

  • I'm confused. The plane in the beginning was banking down and to the left with wheels out as if it was going to land, but then the wheels go back up near the end and it flies away... I've never seen that before. What happened?

  • @zamardii12

They put the gear down because it adds aerodynamic drag which helps the airplane fly slower during exhibitions like this. During climb-out the gear is retracted in order reduce the drag so the airplane can gain alitude more readily.

  • @zamardii12

guess it´s a security option when sinking below a certein high. If anything goes wrong and the plane needs to land, you have the wheels out already.

  • Ac130

  • wow

  • wonder why fleet week is near sept 11 fuckin idiots they gonna blow up the bridge

  • he missed the bridge

  • Try it fly under the bridge !!! Huh ?

  • That's the Phillies flying in to play the Giants. Jimmy Rollins is at the controls.

  • Fantastic video

  • You can see low fly overs at the airport!

  • pilot is effing drung!!!!

  • Fly the friendly skies!

  • ENEMY AC130!

    *eeeeer" *boom*

  • If I was there I would of said.. AC 130 ABOVE!!!!

  • ooo

  • OMG TERRORISTS..... oh wait its just an epic 747

  • Nice pictures!!!

  • Very nice camera dude. What is it?

  • WTF ????

  • Golden Gate Bridge =Kaput - if this 747 fly just bit lower!

  • I thought it was a terrorist attack

  • Lol, I saw one when I was driving past Sea-Tac/ Boeign HQ (spelling on Boeign? I think it's Boieng...)

  • 1:03

    BIRDSTRIKE!

  • I Was There!!!!!!!!

  • @rkazarin

    SX20 IS

i have one as well, great quality video

  • @AndreaShephard2900 why are people commenting with this poinltess jabber

  • Two of the most beautiful airliners ever built was the DC3 and the 747..classy birds.

  • fake and gay!

  • Lmao... tis looks like the seagull outflew the Plane @ 1.03

  • you almost could throw a stone and hit it.

  • i would shit my pants if i was in that plane.

  • @janses08 you'd shit your pants that high? Look up "747 low pass (espetacular rasante)", they fly way lower and with their landing gear up. There are some crazy performances out there haha.

  • @VoodooGypsy yeah it looks pretty low to me.

  • Nicely shot man. This video was perfect and smooth. I was able to get the size speed and altitude of the 747. NICE!!!

  • Planes: how the fuck do they fly?!

  • I have to say that was a great clip. Your camera took a crisp film. Zoom was

    excellent!

  • Ok they break guitars, but they do a pretty good fly-by.

  • Another demented Pilot !

They should all be arrested and locked into a mental health institution ... forever.

    And no more license .....

Those guys are frustrated assholes, they should have rather used their small dicks to combat in the Army instead of showing off their "hidden talents" over Western Cities.

  • it must be fleet week all the time near an airport

  • I think this was demo for SF Fleet Week along with the Blue Angels and a ship parade.

  • I feel like this is either a viral add for Boeing, Canon, or the Golden Gate

  • Excelent quality and superb shooting sir! thank you

  • Have the same camera, love my SX20Is great zoom! Awesome Video!

  • look at me! I am big metal bird in the sky

  • Looks like United is having trouble locating the airport again.

  • LOWER!

  • Look how beautiful San Francisco is - wow! No wonder a mil gets you nothing for a house.

  • Pause it at 0.27... It's fake. The wing is in front of the bridge.

  • @LetsEmbraceAwkward

Uhh, probably because the plane was flying IN FRONT of the bridge and not BEHIND it...

  • Great work, nice vid!

Was the camera on a tripod/motion mount or is the smoothness all due to built-in motion/shake reduction?

  • @UD503J It has optical image stabilisation & damn its cool!

  • damn, the camera is too gud

  • Pull up! Pull up! AAAARGH *kssshrhhghhrhr*

  • Great video.

You'd swear this was advertising for Canon based on the 'Uploader Comments' section (-:

  • 0.27 the engine is in front of the tower

    Fake)))

  • 0.27 the engine is in front of the tower

    Fake

  • "That's like Kai Tak, man."

  • I don't think the plane was too close to that bridge, if you look closely, you can see the heat trails coming off of the engines in front of the bridge. I guess it just looked like it was super close but I don't even think the plane was on the other side of the bridge at any point.

  • I'd be scared shitless. Especially after 9/11.

  • OMG, so amazing this video. I'm afraid about Boeings rs

What camera was used to film this?

  • i signed on just to see if you put the information about the camera you used to record this.. man wtf it was like razor sharp!

  • W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L-!!!!!

  • 1:03 Lol I secretly wanted that bird to get sucked into one of the jet engines....

  • Damn nice..and quality rocks, i wonder what video recorder was used?

  • @MasumX Filmed with a "Canon PowerShot SX20 IS"

  • @MasumX It seems it's a DSLR as the record stop at one time for taking one picture.

  • @MasumX Canon PowerShot SX20 IS

  • Was this on Friday? If so I was out there, on the Red & White Fleet cruise. This was an amazing airshow. Wish I had video of the 2 Attack helicopters that were circling around the Bridge. Nice camera work too.

  • @platnumrat this was the saturday show :)

  • Fail on Yourveryking first off, and second of all that plane is NO where near that bridge. It is some good footage though.

  • Wow, nice work capturing this!

  • dude your camera's fuckin' awesome!

  • what kind of camera did you use to shoot this?

  • @tamarindjones

    Canon HD VIXIA HF S21

  • amazing!

  • that's a huge bitch! =O

  • First.

  • Pretty sweet, man.
