Its the same reason why you don't Chop a Chicken's head off on your own kitchen cutting board in your house & then de-feather it and cut it while its still moving. In Asian culture, there are other examples of eating animals live such as fish, eating monkey briain, etc. Choosing to torture an animal just to eat, to me IS a moral choice. If it's dead, then whatever, but pain is not something we should morally inflict on an organism. I'm not being racist or anything, I'm asian myself, its just my opinion.

@CaptainBlackSparrows actually in Korea it is traditional to eat octopus live. they do it by removing a tentacle and then warping in around there chopsticks and popping it in there mouth. its most commenly done by men to show how "manly" they are because there is a possibility for the tentacle to get stuck in there throat or something like that. and i think what your thinking of is a type of sashimi which is Japanese
