This comes as no surprise to me. Plenty of people within the govt (Fannie & Freddie) KNEW what was going on and were warning against it. The compensation packages for the heads of Fannie/Freddie were apparently structured so they got paid more for taking on bad loans. One of them (Raines?) made $90M over several years. And where were the govt ovesight committees?

IMO they were all in bed together. Dodd, Frank, Raines, the whole bunch of them. They each had their own reasons for doing NOTHING

This gets me sick when I see the type of homes that were constructed these houses are so inefficient that they had no choice but to fail. These are the very people that turn their nose up to a dome home and now they will be living wherever the state tells them they can or have to live with family. Want to save your ass build yourself a dome home install RE and when it is time to retire you will have the money to do so.
