  • 3 YEARS HAVE PASTED SINCE THE STATEMENT OF THIS MOHOAMMEDIANS-SO HAS SOMETHING CHANGED IN FAVOR OF CHRISTIANS IN MECCA-

    ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!

  • Everywhere in the world minority groups are suffered, like Christians in Egypt, Muslims in US, Hindus in Pakistan, Muslims in India. It's not right practice.

  • Nope, christians in muslime countries have it MUCH worst than muslimes in the US.

    thereligionofpeace.c o m/Pages/Quran-Hate.h tm

Why should such a heinous and despicable "religion" be tolerated?

  • @Fridaey13txhOktober Having no proud if u look at the history the whole world could be under control of Muslim. Europe, Africa, Asia... Because Muslim had Quranic knowledge in every aspect of life, they are not extremist to the Non-muslim as Non-muslims to Muslims. Just look at the messacar n militant aggression in Muslims in Bosnia, Iraq, Afganstan, bombing in Libya, as well as last 500 years history of Christian world. I don't believe that arms, boom can bring any peace. hope it will make sense

  • the pastor wants CAIR to do international work? i that it was called "the Counsel of AMERICAN Islamic Relations" and like many people say just because a Christians are treated badly in some Muslim countries (not all ie Indonesia) does not mean the USA can treat Muslims badly there. also interesting, is how most people who are prejudice try to defined them self by saying they have a friend who is x or i know someone who is x.

  • Here is the thing, the religion of Islam categorically REJECTS same standards for everyone, it puts "muslimes" above non-"muslimes", no matter how much good you do in the world, Islam still condemnes you to Hell for all eternity for being an infidel.

It isn´t all, according to Islam, non-muslimes are non-muslimes because Allah actually WANT them to be damned.

  • The guy from CAIR just won't let the pastor talk! CAIR are obviously non-chalont about the tensions and fears of many American towards Islam and that's why thier so disliked. They have created far to many rifts to in anyway call themselves succesful.

  • how about you go back to your car and turn on some michael weiner savage, we allknow you want to.

  • How about you take that implied accsation of narrowminded and address your own shortcomings. Just because I think the guy from CAIR was rude and that CAIR in general isn't as fair minded and professional as they like to think they are doesn't mean Im a right wing fanatic. Besides Savages only problem is with islamic fundementalism, hard to believe maybe, but as you say i listen to Savage, not just the soundbites.

  • I'm sorry if I offended you but I don't think you really understand who CAIR is. They are not a lobbying organization with senators and secretaries in their back pockets like other organizations (i.e. AIPAC). They are a forum for dialogue b/w American Muslims and other communities. They also do a lot of humanitarian relief work.

You said "..thier [they're] disliked." My question to you is: Who dislikes CAIR besides Michael Weiner Savage and radical right-wingers? Savage's problem with Islam is

  • not with the fundamentalists but with it's existence itself. Before he got sued by CAIR and other groups he used to go on rants about how muslim immigrants need to be deported back to their countries of origin and even American-Muslims needed to be interrogated and recant Islam! He even flat out said that he "hated Islam." Recently, the UK banned Savage from entering the country because of possible violence incitement. Do you still wanna claim open mindedness while still defending Savage?

  • and what exactly is wrong with Islamic fundamentalism? If all the Muslims in the world were fundamentalists then there would be no problems in the Middle East. The problem we have now is with the Muslims who've been disenfranchised by their ugly corrupt governments protected by ,you guessed it, the United States; these are the types of people who've been forced into extremism. So before you make comments, make sure you know what you're talking about instead of following the big red elephant

  • No offense taken :) I'm not a right winger, and I'm personally rather non-chalont about CAIR. I'm just playing devils advocate. I have read much on CAIR and it's critics over the last few years, and your right most complaints come from the right of AMerica. These people are still people with thier own concerns however, and you'd think if CAIR is concerned with Islamic-American relations they would work harder to break down these images/Sterotypes/fears they have. I'd say it's job no.1

  • I agree with you. The people in charge at CAIR are doing a poor job in representing Islam and Muslims to the general American public. Personally, I am not that religious so CAIR really doesn't intrest me all that much. But I remember how things were post 9/11 and how I had to pretend I was greek at school and work to avoid "tension." CAIR definitely needs a good p.r. person

  • Definatly! Maybe Cat Stevens LMAO! As with his incident you got them going into a school to edcated people away from racism and prejudice via a 'dummies guide to' Islam. You can see why people might see this as odd. It would have been far better to show a video on honest muslim family life for instance, to show that were not all tht different except some beliefs, rather than a faith heavy discussion.

  • Demand other countries to be like the US? what a fucking moron! Just because you are in America it becomes a Christian county?

I am tired of all this hate and stupidity!

  • People in Muslim countries associate Christian Missioneries with thinly vealed Colonialism. And quite frankly nothing much has changed

  • Forget Fox. Do you read newspapers? Any at all? Do you know the suffering of the Copts in Egypt? The orthodox and Assyrian Christians in Iraq? The burning of churches and killings in Nigeria? The recent brutal attacks on a Bible school in Indonesia? The torture and massacre of a priest and three Bible workers in Turkey? The merciless, inhumane slaughter of converts in Iran? The kidnap and rape of Christian girls in Pakistan and the impunity of the criminals? Is this Islam?

  • No this is not Islam. Those are muslims who are, by the way, people. ordinary people. Yes they do bad things, but there are those who do good things. just like christians, jews, buddhists, atheists, etc. SO blame bad muslims, not Islam the religion.

  • No, of course not. The Assyrian Christians are very well respected in Iraq. Tariq Aziz was an Assyrian Christian (he served as foreign minister of Iraq and was saddam's closest friend, stayed with him until the end). As for any criminal act against anybody based upon whatever, is wrong and does not represent any religion. Have you heard of the ethnic cleansing in Bosnia? over 6000 muslim men women children executed by orthodox christians. Abu Gharib torture? Haditha massacre?

  • IRAN -Two Christians from Muslim backgrounds were officially charged with apostasy last week at the Public and Revolutionary Court in Shiraz, Iran, raising fears for their continued well-being.

According to the Bill of Indictment obtained by Farsi Christian News Network (FCNN), the prosecutor requested the death penalty for 53 year old Mahmoud Mohammad Matin-Azad and 40 year old Arash Ahmad-Ali Basirat ...

  • Iran is an Islamic Republic so the laws of Islam are implemented through out the country. Apostasy is banned? OFCOURSE!!! That'll be going against the state if it wasn't. The difference here is the fact that there is no real christian country, not even the vatican. Just look at the state of Christianity and Islam, the holiest of days for christians has turned into a day for materialism some pple don't even know xmas is the birth of jesus. Christians have lost the way of Christianity.

  • Christ never sought to establish worldy power, nor brutality, nor governments who murder instead of protect. Any religion that is so insecure that it needs to mandate torture and slaughter for those that choose a different path, that fears any dissent, is based on utter falsehood. Mohammaed said that religion should have "no compulsion," and who also mandated the savage treatment of people who do not submit to his violent-prone religion. Seems it was he who lost his way.

  • What is this "savage treatment of people" you speak of? Islam was the first religion to look past colour, class, and gender. Jesus is an Islamic prophet in fact one of the top 5 out of the 25 mentioned in the Qur'an; so when you speak of Jesus to a Muslim, know that that Muslim reveres Jesus just as much if not more than you. Please do not insult the Seal of the Prophets. Instead of getting your information from Pat Robertson and Fox News, you may try and read a few academic books.

  • moron... wat nonsense r u talking....

  • The only nonsense here is the pple who fabricate lies about Islam because they know of no other way of advancing their beliefs upon others...that makes you the moron :)

  • wat???.. do u see wat u typed up ther.. who gives a rat's ass wat is written in the koran or watever... hav u been brainwashed by ur mollahs.. who wants to knw abt the seal of prophets.. nobody wants to knw wat islam is.. nobody's teaching u christianity r they??...

  • Since you're a dumb ass who can't spell or make sense...I'll save you the embarrassment of mentally crushing you :)

  • it's funny.. but I'm a Muslim and I believe there is no Muslims right in most of so called Muslim countries.

Go to any so called Muslim countries and u find thousands Muslims Locked up and no Christians in Jails.

So called Muslim countries leaders in fact are only representing themselves and the interest OF USA.

they don't represent their ppl or their religion ISLAM. plz REV. don't talk about thinks that u don't know.

  • Peace, forgiveness, love, happiness and harmony. This is religion people.I hate violence and racism.

  • the oppressive political religion of islam is 100% discrimination. against women and against non muslims.

This religion is a MUCH MUCH bigger problem in the world than racism has been in history.

  • Bob Phillips did an excellent job of pinpointing the grotesque hypocrisy of Hooper, CAIR and many Muslim leaders who complain about the very slightest reaction to the fear and intolerance much of Isam has purposey created, while they remain completely mute and complicit over the miilions of Christians persecuted and the thousands slaghtered every year in Muslim countries.

he is right - diaogue must begin with honesty.

  • Stop INVENTING AND PULLING FACTS OUT OF YOUR ASS YOU CHRISTIAN FASCIST.

  • majhee,

You blindingly display the exact characteristics of why Islam is in such problems and why more people are waking up to its dangers.

  • Christians persecuted where is that. Christians wanna label other ppl with their evil. u r the ones persecute other ppl. Read about Spain and Sicily history. for more than 1400 years there Christians live with mi slims but no Muslim or Jew remained in Spain in less than a 100 years. if Muslim wanna just kill Christians u wouldn't find them after.

  • Where? Anywhere there are Muslims who dominate. (As if you didn{t know.) Name a country and I will tell you the horror stories.

  • Koran Sura 5:51 commands Muslims not to take Jews and Christians (infidels) as friends Koran Sura 9:29 commands Muslims to fight against Jews and Christians until they either submit to Allah or die by the sword

  • this is completely false that quran commands muslims not to take jews and christians as friends.prophet mohammed[p.b.u.h] himself had many jewish and christian friends.

  • it says so in the koran mate, sorry to break it to you. Look it up.

  • Part1

At 9.40 mins the pastor attempts to "usher" in a precondition for dialog and hence justice within America. CAir should speak out on behalf of Christians to go to Islamic countries and build churches and propagate on their TV - Whats that really constitute? Give a license to the evangelicals & then we'll discuss your rights? But lets get something clear, they are American Muslims - who are no different to you! they are entitled to the same rights under the constitution and law of the US.

  • part2

This isn't a right to be negotiated or bargained for, its "liberty and justice for all". Ibrahim Hooper doesn't represent Saudi Arabia nor Egypt as much as Sweden or Jamaica. To demand that he do so is both ridiculous & exclusionary. He's an American "Muslim", for that (as for every American) he has certain obligations to & certain rights from America. Those are the "terms & conditions" nothing more nothing less! They should teach religious understanding for all & logical justice to boot!

  • Peace all.

I think that any Muslim raised in North America would agree that they got a more objective education then Muslims in arab states. In reality we are not going to as a political group take any horrible actions against any ethnic groups or religions IN America.

Muslims in America need to speak out more at home, and make use of the net to educate BOTH sides of this current ugly piece of history being crafted.

  • Peace Every one,

The logic:"because they do it to the Christians in Muslim countries, Muslims can't complain if it happens to them here" shows the hipocrisy of the Pastor. CAIR is an American organization deffending first and foremost Muslim Americans. If the good Pastor is troubled by what happens to Christians in Muslim countries, let him start a peaceful organization, like CAIR, in those countries to deffend the oppressed. I am sure he will have more Muslim clients than Christians.

  • Peace dude

Why is Ibrahim Hooper going to Mecca if he is related to only American muslims.

He is just a puppet in the hands of oil rich Wahabis.

  • "I'd like to be able to complete my statements" - he means his lies. HELLO, what does Foreign government laws have to do with the U.S.?? Thats like arguing well China is a communist country, does torture.. so Chinese citizens in the U.S. shouldn't be allowed to sue if they get tortured. I think its logic that hides his bigotry.

  • I think the pastor needs to know that even Muslims do not have the freedoms they want in Muslims countries. when they talked abt Egypt, its the muslims who are persecuted more. why? Because the Muslim world is run by dictators, kings and rogue leaders backed by the christian west. The invasions and killings of Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq, etc is done directly by christians in Army Uniforms. The pastor needs to see the bigger picture if he needs to talk abt dialogue.

  • Most so called "ISLAMIC" countries are quite un-ISLAMIC and SECULARIST

I don't understand this whole argument and childish muddslinging of

"YOU CANT HAVE A CHRISTIAN GROUP IN SAUDI ARABIA.... SO WHY SHOULD THE MuZZzies HAVE A GROUP IN AMERICA???""

We AMERICAN-MUSLIMS are in AMERICA, and aren't a citizen of SAUDI ARABIA... I'm Muslim, and even I disagree with some of the rules of the Saudi Monarch

" I am from Arabia, but Arabia, Doesn't belong to me"-- prophet Mohammed (pbuh)

  • the real holders of power in the usa are rubbing their hands together, their nasty little plan of dviding america into attacking each other and creating a climate of fear is working perfectly. keep playing into their hands sheeple! WW3 just around the corner, ggod luck!!!

  • Pastor Phillips makes excellent points. The Muslims, represented by CAIR, demand the right to proselytize but CAIR is okay with second class citizenship or worse for Christians in Muslim nations. It's called hypocricy. CAIR isn't a civil rights organization if it's only concerned with the rights of Muslims or if it is silent about discrimination against Christians in Saudi Arabia where Christianity is illegal.

  • I think it is quite ridiculous that the Reverend expects CAIR to defend Christians in Muslim countries. As far as I know, their mission is to be an active civil rights group within the United States. Although, I agree many Christians do need to have someone defend them, along with Muslim women, in many Muslim countries.

  • Couldn't agree more. Why do they even bring it up in this context? What does it mean? Christians are treated badly in KSA so we should treat Muslims bad in America? I don't get it at all.

  • He did not say that CAIR should defend the brutal treatment of Christians in Muslim majority lands. He simply said that some honesty and perspective from CAIR by admitting the enormous problems of Muslim persecution would at least help alleviate the gross hypocrisy of this Saudi financed propaganda organization.

  • Religious zealots should united. After all, they share so much, like oppressing people using their interpretation of some book written thousands of years ago. There is no much difference between these people.

CAIR seems to support whatever as long as it is religious. Would CAIR support a theocracy in the US if they are given the chance to impose Sharia law on Muslims and their descendants, they wanted or not?

  • How about the point that the U.S is NOT a Christian nation. Making the reverends point on how Christians are mistreated in Muslim countries completely irrelevant. Muslims, Christians, Jews, and all other faiths have equal rights in America.

  • To expect CAIR to be the guardian of all Muslim countries is somewhat disingenuous. CAIR is an American advocacy group with no control over any country. CAIR has done a great job in advocating tolerance and dialogue domestically and internationally. If we expect a better world for our children then we should not shy away from educating our children with facts about all religions of the our world. Islam has been vilified in the west and our children deserve to know the facts about Islam.

  • CAIR is so funny. They whine and moan about how they are oppressed in the west. If they want to see real religious oppression they need to look at how Christians are treated in Muslim countries. Just ONE simple question. Why can't Christians build Churches in Saudi Arabia. Someone please answer that.

  • ...Its a fact Christians are treated badly...CAIR is an advocacy group and as such it has a legal right to defend Muslims and all people of faith who are attacked for practicing...Your simple question should be directed to yoour political leaders...Why are they so in love with the political leaders?...The west supports all of the dictatorships and they continue to hold on to power...That is the reason why churches can not be built there...Islam does not forbid church building...

  • CAIR is an American organization! I can denounce and reject stuff that happens in Saudi Arabia all I want, what difference will it make? What is the logical outcome of this stupid argument? If they do it KSA, we should DEFINITELY do it in America. WTF? Saudi Arabia is well known for their democracy and asking what people like me think about their laws, right? I mean, I have almost direct control over those things.

  • sharsur and yu255673 - Did I say I expected CAIR to do something in KSA? Please re-read my comment. No I didn't. I was laughing at CAIRs ridiculous claims to oppression and using the treatment of Christians in KSA as an example of real oppression. I do notice though that neither of you even tried to answer my question. Opps. Here again: Why are there laws restricting the rights of Christians to build churches in Islamic countries??

  • This discussion went way off topic, Riz Kahn should of intervened to keep people talking about the subject at hand. The topic was Islamophobia in the US and they spent 90% of the 2nd part talking about Christians being deprived of some rights in certain Muslim countries.

    eh?

  • Sure there is islamophobia in the USA and in the west in general, but I'm sure it's not nearly as the "westophobia" in the islamic countries. After all, it's the people of the western countries that are more developed and more globally minded than the inhabitants of the middle east.

  • Why do people insist on using made up words 'islamophobia', 'westophobia'. If your going to use a word in context with phobia make sure its Greek.

You don't say 'openspaceophobia', you say acrophobia, the same goes for claustrophobia , you don't 'closetophobia'.

    So don't do it!

  • Oh my god I think I have just developed "mynewschannelophobia". Will you get to the point please and answer my first post regarding its content rather than wasting your breath on some stupid word (of which I'm sure you knew what I meant)...

  • Please Hand15, the US is founded on religious freedom so comparing or saying why should we, has no place here. The real point that i see is the christian's have this fear that their children can easily be converted to other religions. Like others have some super power the hyponotizes their children. Every1 has free will to choose their own futures this is not something to fear. Sadly the additude that there is only 1 true religion & the rest of us will die if not part of it clouds minds.

  • Cair is an American Orginization. How about instead of saying we have the right to beat on muslims cause of Saudi Arabia (a nation our goverment considers a friend) how about treat them well in this nation treat them equal and lead by examble not by demanding they go first

  • Well... in Saudi Arabia no church nor any other religous place other than Islam could be built. Even you can't show that you're non moslem in Arab Saudi. Why would the west want to let the moslems built their mosque and wear hijab so easily? Moslem asked for freedom of religon but they themselves don't give others freedom of religion. Some day moslem will protest the depiction of Jesus and Moses too because they're both prophet "Isa almasih" and "Musa" in Islam. All in their head is "Islam"centric

  • hand15, this isn't Saudi Arabia it's the USA and the US Constitution is the Law of the Land.

Reciprocity between countries is the domain of foriegn policy and international relations and not an internal matter nor reason to deny US Constitutional rights in the USA.

  • I can't hear it & my volume is all the way up :\
