This guy is really nice and seems really cool, I work at Nordstrom and sold a couple pair of shoes to him (Even though he technically only wantd one, I misunderstood and charged for both pair which he politely said he'll keep both) . After watching him on Iron Chef after meeting him and his lovely wife AND doing my research on the restaurant, I cant wait to go there! All good reivews so far and I loooooove good food!
Virant is a true culinary master. I just read on the JuliB site about a six-course dinner which he hosted in Chicago as a benefit for the 'Slow Food' movement.
this is a great restaurant...i had a wonderful foie gras with aigre-doux atop this bayleaf poundcake that had an amazing texture...the gnocchi was delicious too, as was the kobe steak, which i had for dinner.
this resturaunt is awsome! great food
