Meh, I'm not a huge AlienWare fan, but I will admit that they are REALLY good quality computers, good cooling, nice specs, runs games well, etc.

But what I WILL say, is that you CAN get better specs building your own, but if you aren't confident (very understandable. Touching anything in your PC has a chance of destroying it), it is a VERY good idea to get one.
