I ran Milwaukee in 2007 and it was one degree cooler. It was a small field of runners, about 2,200. Plenty of water and people were bringing trays of ice cubes out of their kitchens to give us. Amazing race, my time was a bit slower, but the race wasn't shut down. And the price? Fifty dollars compared to Chicago's 110.00 that year.
I've volunteered Chicago 3X, ran it 3X and probably won't run it again, too expensive, too many people. If you run just 4 fun it's ok
