1 the caa cheek rest for the buffer tube is GOOD TO GO!!! decision in 2011
2 it is ok to put a walking cane rubber end on the buffer
3 if your "pistol" is LONGER than 26" and is not concealed on your person and does NOT have a butstock than it is not a "rifle" nor a "pistol" nor is it an AOW it is a "firearm" and you can put a vertical for grip on it
How do you like that C More? I am doing my first build and am thinking about getting one. I plan on doing three gun. Now on my second build I will do an AR Pistol for my vehicle.
Excellent video! I have been wanting to build a set up like this for awhile. Can you email the list of parts that are used in this AR platform? You can email me @ jenglade@gmail.com Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the clear, professional video. I am in TN and want to own the AR pistol and AR but I have only own Glock 26 and 30. Never shot anything else and I feel like I have to be a lawyer just to own anything else. Keep up with the video.
Thanks for the info. I'm thinking of building or buying an AR pistol. My thought is if it is a pistol(under 16") why not make it a short one (7"). But I was a little gun shy (excuse the pun) about having that much flash/muzzle blast so close to my face. But you are right, the correct muzzle break would make a big difference. BTW great job on the video, keep up the good work.
did you say that was a 10.5" barrel ? Have you shot a 7" barrel AR pistol ? I wonder if the muzzel flash would be too close to your face with a 7" barrel compared to a 10.5".
@kd757t The barrel length is 10.5 inches but the Noveske flash hider makes it around 12.5 inches. I have never shot a 7 inch barrel but I have heard good things about them and depending on you flash hider / muzzle break I think you'd be just fine with muzzle blast not really affecting you. I bought the 10.5 inch because I wanted a little more control over the gun. Thanks for the post appreciate it.
It would classify the gun as a AOW or Any Other Weapon which you have to get a tax stamp for. In my opinion its really not worth the 200 bucks to put the fore grip on there because the gun is very well balanced and you should be able to control it just as good with a magwell grip. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@SpiritOffAdventure22 sadly a bit wrong mate . The tax to TRANSFER and existing A.O.W. is $5.00 , the tax to put a forward grip on an ar 15 or othter rifle which is construed by the BATFE as MAKING an A.O.W. is still $200.00.
one has to be very careful when reading governmental laws, the chance for misinterpretation is massive.
@seanxvw Atf classifies a fore grip as being a RIGID VERTICAL grip. The magpul afg is not a fore grip as defined by the atf. The mac 10 and 11 front strap is also not a fore grip by the atf definition.
If youre going to shoot it like a rifle with a normal stock, wtf is the point of this gun?

Is that a standard 7" buffer tube? And, does it get uncomfortable to tuck that in your shoulder after a lot of rounds?

a couple of new developments for "pistol" ARs

Good post... the cheeks are faster, that's why we use it that way.
All points valid in this video.
Give us MORE on the pistol. People just don't get it.
My AR15 Pistol is sooooo accurate, it really amazed me.
People always think they are a toy. NOT the case.
Can you make one with the distance accuracy for these fools!!??
