  • ive got to do the same job, how long could i expect to spend doing this, and do i need any specialist tools for the job, any tips would be helpful.

    Most of the job can be done with a good socket set, borrow some extra extensions and u-joints and you will be able to get the engine to tranny bolts out fine. Make sure to note which engine-tranny bolt came from where as they are different lengths. A gear wrench makes taking out the torsion bars a bit easier (for taking off the nuts on the tensioning bolt, 19mm on my truck) if you choose to remove them for more space.

    .... snap ring pliers would be useful if you have a standard for when you remove the shifter.
