This song is about a 50's Spree killer named Charels Starkweather Who Killed 11 people in Nabraska with his 14 year old girlfriend.

@carrywet My pleasure! Mrs S. had a job in office for many years while Dutch had various jobs. Her income got the family through and it was her love for Brucie that she got him that guitar. Her love and joy in life is in him all these years each time he steps on stage. Cheers!

Every person has a reason to commit crime. For example, the reason are broken family, parents' dispute, poverty, mother or father or both has mental disorders, and they may have drug or alcohol addiction, parents' divorce, and domestic violence or child abuse on and on. The biggest and most important reason is whether he or she had a happy childhood or not till they became about 5 years old. One more thing is that this capitalistic society is all about money. This situation is depressing.

@flevobirdy I am a big fan of Boss apparently, but, I don't know particularly a song about his mom. Instead, There are some songs about his dad, for example, "My Father's House" from 'Nebraska' and "Walk like a man" from 'Tunnel of love.' The other song I know is "Used cars" from 'Nebraska' depicting a sister in the song. One last song is "From small things(Big things one day come)" from "The Essential Bruce Springsteen".  If I find his more songs about his family or mom, I'll write you later
