  • See above reply. I dont understand your concern. If your child was at this course, you would know that photographs/videos are permitted at all UKTKF events and that we have always maintained that your permission is given, unless you have expressly requested in writing that your child not be filmed/photographed. club still seeks parents permission out of courtesy. Our Child Protection Policy does not say we wont photograph students. We believe this video pose no child protection risk.

  • @colchesterkarate

I remember this course. In fact, i'm in this video. He really is the best of the best. I was a 1st Dan here. At the age of 13. Whilst I was still a 1st Dan, My Sensai Alan Parish chose me to become a Junior Instructor of Westwood karate.

I remember when I got my 1st Dan, I didn't pass the first time, but I did the best I could do. Fortunately I passed the second, and I had not stopped smiling since I wore the belt. Medium/Large silk belt sowed in red with my initials.

  • Firstly there is no law requiring permission! Secondly most of the parents were around when it was filmed! Thirdly when a student joins our club they sign permssion to be photographed/filmed AND for such footage to be used on promotional material, the internet or any way we feel may promote the club, it's members and the sport. We have never used any photographs to degrade anybody or show a weakness. We promote our students and what they can do hence seeking their permission.

  • No it was at Bishams Abby.

  • oooooh that must of hurt

  • we did this sort of punch with sensei poh lim rokudan when he visited us here and this is not easy and it´s brilliant to see kawasoe sensei himself do this

  • The ammountof power he generates is incredible. was this taken at Edinburgh i might have been there

  • Yes he is amazing. No it was filmed at Bishams Abby Sports Centre during one of his courses. I could not train due to surgery on a broken arm and filmed it to be able to look back and practice on my own. He did the same course in Edinburgh that year when I also attended and took part.
