I love this broad. what a voice. she moved me and still does. she has no more demons and troubles now. she's at peace and since her peace meant that she could no longer be here I'm ok with it.
Amy's passing is a reminder of how pure and simple life can be....she sang as she lived...breathtakingly sweet surrender - that voice.....my, my, my.......I know that when I die I will hear Amy's voice crooning my way to wherever the next life may lead me to....hopefully to Amy's for one last performance for the ages!! Long live Amy Winehouse!!

In trying to flush out the "facts" on why Amy's work went largely unnoticed, the following stands out. According to a book written by Nick Johnstone called "Amy Amy Amy - The Amy Winehouse Story" (2008), there was no distribution of "Frank" in North America by the Simon Fuller-led Island Records (P.55). This probably meant no distribution in the Western Hemisphere/Asia. In fact, "middle England had no idea who she was" (P.57) so presumably Europe missed out. Poor decision-making everywhere.
To think that this incredible repertoire of work went largely unnoticed until late July/August of 2011. So many tragedies here .............. all converging on one soul.
Real nice setting for a jazzy type tune. I think I like this tune better than any of the others. Aside from what may be a performance influenced by a substance or another, she really seems comfortable doin her thing. Beauty, sex appeal, talent, . .. all gone.

Yeah, and then at 4:19 the drummer messed up and she got pissed (he messed up big time during the solo too). You can hear her yelling at the musicians with the mic down at 4:23! She laughs toward the end.
If she could only see how the tables would turn in the future. In her more recent gigs, her horn players can be seen laughing at her.
She apparently wants to tour in the U.S. now that her visa is cleared, but I doubt The Dap Kings will play for her if she's still on hard drugs.

Amy is one of the most talented singer-songwriters around. Is it just me,or does she seem a little uncomfortable or nervous in her early live performances?She always seems to be looking down or drawing herself inward, rather than singing OUT.

This song is only present in Frank deluxe. She's absolutely incredible. The most interesting,in my opinion, is that Amy does great performances, altough when she's getting bored with the concert! hahaha
Janis Joplin did great performances, but she was almost die(just kiddding!) in her concerts. She got so exhausted!

I agree that she's an absolutely incredible singer, but I think she made a face at 1:03 because she started out kind of flat and was annoyed about it.

Yeah, and then at 4:19 the drummer messed up and she got pissed (he messed up big time during the solo too). You can hear her yelling at the musicians with the mic down at 4:23! She laughs toward the end.
If she could only see how the tables would turn in the future. In her more recent gigs, her horn players can be seen laughing at her.
She apparently wants to tour in the U.S. now that her visa is cleared, but I doubt The Dap Kings will play for her if she's still on hard drugs.
