OK, so he tried out the free agent market and ended up with pittsburg. Then he dumped them for Detroit, maybe kinda cheap there, but in defense he did want to stay with detroit and they dumped him so he went to Chicago. He did say he was looking for a long term contract. So that shows he wanted to be somewhat loyal. But really he only dumped one team.

The bigger problem I have with the whole thing is Hossa and his agent really strung the Pens out until the very end when we could have made offers to other high quality players instead. Granted Satan and Fedetenko proved adequate enough to eventually win the cup, but still it really put the team and Shero in a tough situation to start the season.

Could you imagine a Hawks/Pens final with Hossa coming out on the short end again? At that point, would he retire, or hang himself?

I just want to say this is funny, but alot of Pens fans have to realize, with Hossa the team would have been completely different. We might have lost Orpik in the free agency last year. We probably wouldn't have traded for Kunitz and Guerin, who were really good in the playoffs. We wouldn't have signed Fedotenko and Satan, I know Satan did shit this year, but Fedotenko really stepped up in the playoffs.

So, don't bash Hossa for leaving, we might have not won it if he stayed.

Actually, we offered Hossa the same amount of money, just for multiple years, Hossa wanted a 1 year deal, and didn't tell the Pens that.

People don't get why Pens fans hate Hossa, not only did he go to the team that beat them in the finals, he said he didn't sign with the Pens cause we wouldn't win. Then after game 5, the game Detroit won 5-0, he said "This is why I came to Detroit cause it's all about winning"
