@tarantulaguy654 where do you get the screen from and how do you know if they are males or females i have two rose hair tarantulas and they are in the same cage but in is in a container while the bigger one lives inside the tank im afraid to put them both in their in thee opening by watching this... I love them to death what should i do?
@ExpertiseGamer They are supposed to be mating. In reality the male is wondering towards the light while the female isn't getting the mating vibe. She is hiding in the toilet paper roll cave and ends up pouncing on him for the kill.
I was feeding her jumbo crickets because it was so cool to watch her attack such a big creature. This male was a little bigger then those. I am sure that didn't help in this situation among other things.
@TNTdrummerRjHarrison From what I understand tarantulas don't have the ability to clot their bleeding. Once a wound is inflicted they will lose pressure with the fluids in their body. If a slight wound is present, you would need to bond the surface of the wound and feed them lots of water. I am not sure if the bonding agent would be crazy glue or some type of fingernail bonding agent so one would have to do their research.
Ideally you want to make sure she is stuffed. What was cool about these mini species was she had a killer appetite. You should have seen her attack a jumbo cricket! It was a fang full!
i know its normal for female to et male spiders but you know its horrible cause the male helps the female to make new lives and the female jusb goes killing the male one after another each time it mates.
soo cruel sooo cruel
even though i'm a female "tee hee" (giggling with a dead male next to me) RIP
what the fuck dude. you know you're supposed to seperate them after mating right? by the way it's not that common for the female to kill her mate in the wild, it's some shit to do with them being in captivity.. it triggers summit that makes it more likely to eat them. so i've read anyway
this was no accident to failed mating, it is extremely common and normal for the female spider to eat the male(her mate). It is most seen in the Black Widow family. The female is the black spider with the hour glass on the bottom of her abdomen. The male is not venomous and 3 times smaller. The reason why they are called Black Widows are because she widows herself by eating her mate. It is common with most spiders so don't freak over it. She probably already mated off camera.
It was because the Male had sex with the Female previously and there is 99% chance for the Female too "eat" the Male afterwards... (Because i heard that the Females dont like sex lol) so the Female had revenge on the man... Well i think thats what happened in this vid.
Of course Lucara was only 12 when all this was going on and when you start where others left off you will learn more. However she only stated what is in all the books I have, but didn't free think any other idea's such as breeding them in the dark or not having the TV on since tarantulas are sensitive to sound or vibrations. With the light to the female's back she did have the advantage.
Surely Lucara07 should know arachnids do eat there mates and it can be quite common and natural. The male was quite old and the provider's were just happy he had an opportunity to try to mate. Even the pro's weren't confident of success. Now 10 year's later I see there are all types of chilean species so this can be why. Back then there where 2 known species I was told of in Chile. A big one and a little one. Should I assume you know all this?
Now as to the name you claim which people call "Chilean Copper" (already in my description) and if you have the book "A Color Guide to Tarantula's of the World - book 1, pg.8) calling it a Paraphysa manicata (I know these names change.) She behaved just like the description. So that leaves us the male as to what it is. It definitely isn't a chilean rose as the cave the female is coming out of is a toilet paper tube. He is smaller then her and she fits half the diameter and he is fully mature.
You want to tell me how to wipe my ass when I was 3 years old too, cause you think you are such a pro now. Don't use the word "perhaps" if you think you are such an expert as what to do. You don't know what I fed her when. Being a dwarf tarantula in a big world you have to be tough. They weren't different species. Quite frankly I've done all the research & I leave creatures alone to do there own thing. Humans may need to find nature balanced again someday.
If you need to gain more power then keeping a beautiful horse in a box please bother someone else or find out why you need to confine all these animals and creatures for your own self worth.
Perhaps you should try figuring out what she is, before you start throwing random species of males in with her. It might have quite a bit to do with her aggression. I would also go to the brink of over feeding her, to lower the risk of her jumping on them like that. I've got females that are FAR larger than that and they've been nothing but passive to males. Do more research on how to properly introduce and breed tarantulas instead of randomly feeding off healthy males.
I don't know if it is really related to Chilean Rose. It's two names are Chilean Copper or Dwarf Chilean Rose. It looks like one, and I believe it comes from the same region. It only gets to about 2 to 3 inches. It is aggressive or more explosive, but not mean like the african species. It was cool to watch it bounce on a jumbo cricket, because the size ratio was closer and crickets don't get so grusomely decomposed.
They guys are not related to a chilean rose. Granted both can be a hit or miss. The chilean rose hair is a Grammostola (rosea)species and the your copper is a paraphysa (scorfa) species. I have the chilean rose, and it's always cranky. I don't have the scorfa but i have one that is sold as (Euthalus truculentus) chilean red rump and it seems docile. Poor male :(
fuck!thinking about getting a female to breed with my male rose.was looking for information and stumbled into this video poor bastard.you say this happened twice, what do you reckon the likelihood of it happening to mine is? i assume they both died from this?
Just the males died. Your male will only live a year or two more. They have short lives. This is actually a dwarf species that is more agressive. If you have the normal G. Rose they breed a lot more peacefully and I have that on video somewhere. They breed multiple times ok. One day to my horror I found her eating the egg sack. Give the male what he wants, he won't mind. Just make sure the female has been eating a lot and make the setting darker then mine was.
She has passed to one of the 11 dimensions scientist have discover through math equations, that actually exist. Here though we go to restaurant supply stores and buy those little disposable sauce containers, poke holes in the lids. Put one in each container with a little moist soil, and feed baby crickets, which you will have to raise, and keep from escaping.
You have to maintain moisture and feed to capacity. It is a lot of work for maybe 500 babies and you will have to get bigger containers several times. That's doing the same action for each step 500 times. I never got this far, but to sell them, if you can for your price X's 500- might be worth it, but may take a year or two to get them to a desirable size. They are fascinating though, but try telling that to your girlfriend:)
They were both mine. I had spoke with a gentlemen about using his for the first try, but he didn't want to go through the work of raising the young. Both times my males got crushed I thought about what if it was his male. The person I bought this guy from was glad someone was going to try and work with it. He said try so I guess he knew the likely outcome.
