  • To those who made comments about the boys having only a week to learn the routine and burning their skates after....that was a much earlier skating episode...the guys were wearing all white with a snowflake on their shirts.....it was part of the Andy Williams show...if you can find that clip, I'd love to see it again.

  • gawd, there's just no end to their talent..amazing <3

  • Watching this just reconfirms what an incredibly talented family they are. Amazing that they could learn to skate like that in such a short period of time. I recall that they were even offered a contract with the Ice Follies, that they turned down. Awesome singers, drop dead good looks, and impressive skaters as well - is there nothing these guys couldn't do? No wonder we fans love them!!

  • These were the times of innocence, not a swear word heard on radio or television, no vulgarity of any kind, and funny, but those of us that grew up then were ok with that. The Osmond brothers were very talented and they deserve much credit, though they were raised as Mormons and devotedly followed the teachings. Thus they believe in God and Jesus Christ as their personal savior. as we all should, it is free for the asking, just pray and God will hear you, your name recorded. your sins forgiven!!

  • On the Biography he also said that they didn't know how to skate! They learned all this in a week... so just to imagine how much they had to practice in that week... and probably the endless hours of practicing - I can understand burning the skates! =p

    Fantastic clip, thanks for sharing!

  • Great fun to watch! There was an interview with Donny, who confirmed that they only had a week to learn how to skate.

  • With Donnies latest triumph on that dancing show it drives home what super talented folks they are . They are from a time when talent =entertainment.

now days all you have to do is shout and swear vulgarity into a microphone and you are considered an entertainer.

  • I agree with you. I am form Colombia, but this show was aired there too! I was between 12-14 when I watched this Donny and Marie Osmond. I missed so much! I am 41 now, and I still love it tho!

  • that's not a single take folks... that probably took days to shoot

  • 67? no wonder I haven't seen this.. that's when I was born. LOL I did watch the Donny and Marie Show growing up. In fact I had the donny and marie dolls and their stage set. Was so mad when my sold them in a garage sale.. grrr

  • That is amazing!

  • thats hard to skate and sing at the same time. even though they might lip sing but still AMAZING COME ON!!!!! they have pure talent. they are skating fantastic too!!

  • I can skate and sing but it is extremely difficiult to do both, WELL, at the same time.

The Osmonds had and still have tremendous talent in so many areas! I saw the Brothers earlier this week and they sound the same or better than they did in 1972 at their peak.

  • yeh they're really talented

  • Ice-Follies skating on TV in the '70s was a big part of why I wanted to be a skater when I grew up. Check out my videos sometime! ;)

  • Wow, that's incredible to watch! It's hard to find such well-rounded talent these days... and for non-professionals, they're really coordinated on ice. I wonder how long they had to practice.

  • someone said they saw an interview where they were talking about this and that they only had one week to learn this routine from scratch.

  • what year was this?

  • I think it was 1967.

  • They are so adorable! THANKS!

  • Great ice skating.

  • I'm amazed how many people, out there, have these old clips! Some I don't even remember, because at the time, I was Donny's age! They really were/are an incredible family. I met all of them, except Jimmy, years ago. They were very polite, easy to talk to and gorgeous. Thanks for posting this one. It was fun to watch!

  • They are not skating AND singing at the same time, they are skating and lip syncin to backing track.

But The Osmonds are multi talented true professionals and probably thee best ever family singng group ever..... and damn good looking too LOL (in my opinion)

  • I love the Osmonds but this performace especially pulls at my heartstrings so much. Must be the Christmas feeling in the middle of July.

  • My oh my! Was there NOTHING these young fellows COULDN'T do? Sing, dance, play their musical instruments and now this? I'm voting for the Osmonds for president!!!

  • The most amazing thing about this routine, according to the interviews I've seen, is that they didn't know how to ice skate, but when Andy said "Can you ice skate?" they said, "Sure, of course!" and went home and in one week learned this routine, from scratch. Then, after they shot it and it was in the can, according to Merrill they went home, built a big bonfire and burnt all their ice skates! Hilarious! Amazing what sponges they were -- seems as if they could do practially anything!

  • god there cute!! all down to hard work enit xxxxx

  • Wow!

  • what's amazing is, they had to learn to ice skate to do this show!

  • they are sooooo cute!!!they can do every thing

  • I was fortunate enough to see The Osmonds yesterday at the Wembley Arena to celebrate their 50th year in the Entertainments Industry. I was working within the stadium. It was a great concert. It was probably one of the loudest crowds I ever heard! They cheered throughout the show. The Osmonds will be playing another date tonight at the same venue due to very high public demand!

  • so much talent in one family!

  • Love the choreography!

  • FANTASTIC, OSMONDS CAN DO ANYTHING AND THEY ARE AMAZING! donny looks sooooooo dang cute here!

  • It's performances like this one that are why they're celebrating 50 years in entertainment! Amazing!

  • Can't get enough of this clip -- they are absolutely great!

  • aren't they soooooo adorable!

  • wow! what can the osmonds not do? they really are legends.. and amazing people

  • WOW, never saw this! I can't believe how much they did. Can you imagine any of the pop stars doing half as much as these guys(and gal) did to entertain.

  • To me, the Osmond Brothers were never better than when they were on the Andy Williams Shows, particularly the Christmas shows. Although Mr. Williams produced a DVD in 2001 containing some of these performances, another DVD set should be made featuring ALL of them. The younger generation NEEDS to see a time when TALENT equaled entertainment - not vulgarity.

  • Excellent comment - could not agree with you more. Kids today get nothing mind-expanding, just junk. They miss so much!!

  • Quite a production for those days. Thanks for sharing.

  • Have never seen this clip before!!! Amazing!!

  • Geez, is there anything the Osmonds COULDN'T do???

  • They hated ice skating? And yet, years later, when Donny & Marie got their own variety show, they had an ice rink and skaters on the set!

  • yea, they had the music playing while they skated, they didn't sing the track while skating, the sound was not wireless in those days, and they couldn't have kept up the song without being winded, but they are talented skaters as well as singers!

  • Thank you for the video and for all the comments

  • It was said that after the Osmond Brothers did that routine, they burned the skates that they hated so much.

  • Yes, I saw an Osmonds Brothers Documentary and one of the brothers shared that fact. It made me so sad to hear that they burned their skates since I know how much skates cost. I was also sad to hear that doing this made them dislike ice skating.

  • that was amazing!

  • Where's Marie??

  • I think this program was a "boys only" routine, but I also recall that Marie was just learning how to skate at the time.

  • Wow, how times have changed. Entertainment like that is unmatched. Great video, thanks for the memories!

  • OMg how cute is Donny !!!!!

What amazing talented people they are :)

  • The scene of the ice skating of and a special program of Christmas in the Andy Williams's

show is memories of TV thought to be parents who not are now. (from Japan)

  • Belle famille c est formidable ...Bravo

  • WOW they sing, dance and ice skate awesome.

  • How fun. Thank you for sharing!

  • wow, its amazing how they did that!! is donny the youngest there?

  • Yes, Donny Osmond is the youngest Osmond in this skating scene.

  • Awesome, thanks for sharing that!

  • What a great video! I wish we had good variety shows today. Thanks for sharing.

  • thank you this was so nice to see

    Dawn

  • I watched a documentary on the Osmonds and one of the brothers commented that after doing this number they actually got together and burned their ice skates! I guess they had to work very hard to do this wonderful performance and were "burned out" on skating. This video clip sure shows how talented they were though!

  • How wonder full...

  • Thank you, thank you so much for posting this. I'm guessing this is from the Andy Williams show. Since that was before my time, I love any clips that I can find from that time in the Osmonds career.

  • yeah, same here; although i do remember watching Andy's Christmas specials

  • I love this..they hated skating and yet they did a wonderful job!

    Thanks for sharing!!!
