I'm not a Republican nor a McCain supporter, I am very pro-choice, but don't think the McCains are concerned with abortion to be honest. However, the McCains, like many Republicans have to be more prolife than they really are to get votes from the rightwing nutjobs. I've actually heard that Laura Bush is likely prochoice like her mother in law, but not really mentioned in the media.
To me it looks like she doesn't know what she is talking about. Prior to Roe v Wade, it WAS a state issue. I think that these idiots are just told what to say and when they don't have their cue cards on hand they have no idea what they actually stand for. They just say whatever it takes to get elected so that they can write the laws that make them richer.
Alaborate please. Also when pressed for your opionion don't say well that's a state issue. No it is your opinon. This is what Rep. do on the issue they dance around it, and when pressed with scenario's there well that's a state issue. Pff fucking pussies..
When people say that it's a "state issue", they mean that it should be within a "state's police powers" to regulate the act. It's a federalism argument--rooted in differing interpretations of the 10th Amendment ... and also an argument regarding the 5th and 14th Due Process clauses. They aren't "dancing around it."
What are you talking about he is asking her a direct question, and her position on it. I guess if he asks her of her opinon she can regulate the state to give her response.
