I like it but I think the way to get better at violin is to enjoy it. So move your body and feel composer's feeling. I'm 21 years old and playing in concert orchestra in Intermediate School's orchestra. I'm in violin1. Before I play, I always think about the feeling of composer
@pawsoned You don't know that. Maybe she has a passion for the instrument and the music but she's really nervous thus looks "bored" because she's concentrating.
when in competition/auditioning/you-get-the-point there is you, the accompienist (which i spelled wrong i know but its been a very long night studying music), the judges (usually 1-3 of them and all have high credibility), and if youre lucky maybe a parent is allowed although my mom was never allowed. its absolutely nerve wracking to do this and the judges hardly ever applaud unless your a musical god. welcome to the world of music =[ haha
she's so pused to do this I'm sure!! I starded when I was 6 and played this piece when I was like 9 of 10 (I was just really good?) and I still play it allmost everyday i'ts my favorite but at six years old play this with the vibration is just pushing a child to do this!! but still she's really good!! to be proud of!
@Opticalman101 It has nothing to do with the fact that she is Asian. An American child, Japanese child, Italian child, and every child is born with the same potential. She has been trained from a very young age, possibly even birth, to be a violinist. That is the only difference. It's hard to attempt to begin playing violin at 12 when your fingers & mind have been trained for other things and not music. At 2 the child will absorb everything from their environment including language (music).
@Trilbystyle Well, she is only what, 6? Maybe it's difficult for such young children to understand the music. Or maybe it's not her calling but someone else's.
100 % sure she enjoys it ! Very nice performance in her age. Can not wait to see her new performances. She must be the happiest violinist, which she may prove with a smile after a well done violin piece. In the mean time she has to concentrate on playing, not so much on entertainment.

they torment the kid with this music and she mechanically plays as she was trained. I feel sorry for her

Performing in front of people is scary.

Why didn't this girl get any applause?
She played beautifully! That's just plain rude not to give her at least a little praise after a performance of that stature!

She's good, but she shouldn't stand with her back to her accompanist.
