This tune had great poignancy just months following Mingus' death in Jan. '79, when I was able to see her outdoors at a Greek Theater festival. The band: Jaco, Hancock, Don Alias, and Tony Williams to play with for the long final set! Surprised when they launched into "Raised on Robbery", and "Twisted", toward the end!

I loved this LP the day I bought it as a very young man in 79 and I still love it. This song brings tears every time I listen.

I saw Joni tour this in 1979. I'm pretty sure we all expected to see Jaco, but I was amazed to see Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, and Michael Brecker all on stage supporting this album. What a gas it was to have the chance to attend this musical "summit". thanks for the post!
