Dj Tutor, Phase on turntables without an expensive mixer!

can do a flanger... just set one record about half a beat behind the first record, then move the pitch as fast as you can up and down about the 0% mark, you'll hear a flanger...

flanger is just a variable time delay echo effect, very similar to the phaser.

Fairplay but i think the whole point in a phaser is that u dont have to go through the trouble of doing this ,who buys every record twice (or any twice). U should do a vid on starting 1 vinyl then the other (same vinyl) on the second beat keep em in time an when it drops just switch the mixer from left to right in a rhythmic sort of way if that makes any sense , Thats wat i do

i have a dj set up and i go out to the clubs and i allways have a problem connecting to a one mixer .

okay my dj set up is i have 2 Denon CD player is the DN-S5000 AND the mixer is the DN-X1500s so i  would love to know how can i connect from my mixer DN-X1500S to the Mixer Denon dn-x900 do i need a special cables or how could i do if you are okay please make a video showing how to do the connection that i could see

hahaha i do this effect on cd decks - always works. but i sped one cd up to 0.1 % or slow it down - i call this effect "flying plane" - good one if you don't have effect mixer.

This technique was used by us older dj's as a trick to throw in during our mix. You have to be pretty quick to use it and still get the next record ready for the upcoming breakdown. But with practice this can be done.

I've heard people use to do it back in the 80's with a wah pedal, with the low cost of modern digital guitar effects and automatic beat matching you should be able to get some ace sounds. I don't own a turntable, otherwise I'd give it a go.

except the cheap guitar Phase pedals I've seen are Mono. Theres also the Impedance mismatch issue (depending on the pedal)
