can do a flanger... just set one record about half a beat behind the first record, then move the pitch as fast as you can up and down about the 0% mark, you'll hear a flanger...
flanger is just a variable time delay echo effect, very similar to the phaser.
Fairplay but i think the whole point in a phaser is that u dont have to go through the trouble of doing this ,who buys every record twice (or any twice). U should do a vid on starting 1 vinyl then the other (same vinyl) on the second beat keep em in time an when it drops just switch the mixer from left to right in a rhythmic sort of way if that makes any sense , Thats wat i do
i have a dj set up and i go out to the clubs and i allways have a problem connecting to a one mixer .
okay my dj set up is i have 2 Denon CD player is the DN-S5000 AND the mixer is the DN-X1500s so i would love to know how can i connect from my mixer DN-X1500S to the Mixer Denon dn-x900 do i need a special cables or how could i do if you are okay please make a video showing how to do the connection that i could see
hahaha i do this effect on cd decks - always works. but i sped one cd up to 0.1 % or slow it down - i call this effect "flying plane" - good one if you don't have effect mixer.

Ok so if u have two of the same records on the tables how do u exspect to cue you next song? what stop to load another record. No thanks i'd buy a solid mixer with FX other then look like a moron while i'm Phazing the record!
This technique was used by us older dj's as a trick to throw in during our mix. You have to be pretty quick to use it and still get the next record ready for the upcoming breakdown. But with practice this can be done.
I've heard people use to do it back in the 80's with a wah pedal, with the low cost of modern digital guitar effects and automatic beat matching you should be able to get some ace sounds. I don't own a turntable, otherwise I'd give it a go.
Yo, i'm 13, and I suddenly got into techno. How much would ONE turntable and a mixer would be?
Thanks
Skateforsatan6 10 months ago
@Skateforsatan6 Whats the point of that? the mixer is there to fade between the turntables and records, mainly.

stop ur whingeing peeps, just get serato and u wont have problems buying double copies.
tajanaz07 2 years ago
the problem is: buying double copies of every record in my collection is probably more expensive than the mixer with the effects

Yes , but you see , they really are sick . Their minds and souls have never been filled with a propper spine tingling mix from the 1's and 2's .

Three turntables may have a lot of functions. Phasing is only one.
HubertHase 4 years ago
SO insteed of buying a mixer with effects or a kaoss padd you buy 2 of each record!!! wow so much cheaper.(NOT)

LOL
djcripple2007 4 years ago
He's simply attempting to impart real skills here. Don't be an ass.
djcreditrisk 4 years ago 5
lol except for the fact that a record is like $40 tops whereas a kaos pad is $100 and a decent mixer could be $600....
dont be a dick. Im new to bein a dj and Ive learned almost everything I know about djing from ellaskins.
DjMadEyez 3 years ago
Sooo... Unless you have 2 records its cheaper. Or you could buy a kaos pad for $100 and use it on all your records.
10571z 3 years ago
I remember finding this one out on accident years ago. Try is with Planet Rock people, it does some real cool stuff.

I'm no DJ, but couldn't you just buy a cheap guitar phase pedal and stick it in line with the deck? otherwise very cool, I love that track.
ruuman 5 years ago
Hi, yes you probibly could. Good idea! johnathan
ellaskins 5 years ago
hey, thats an awesome idea. It would be so cool to have like, loads guitar pedals and just hook them up to your mixer :D

except the cheap guitar Phase pedals I've seen are Mono. Theres also the Impedance mismatch issue (depending on the pedal)
