I have been in a relationship for over a year now and I love him so much and I feel that he loves me too. But we are still young, I am 26 and he is 27, and we are broke but we do what we can. Lately I feel that our love is fading due to work. I am curious how you manage to keep your relationship so alive and beautiful?
@clayster2 Clay...there are going to be rough patchs in any relationship. Jay and I spent many years in which I was coming home from work as he was leaving. It constantly felt like we were ships passing in the night. You get through those times..they dont remain the same forever. If you love someone, your in it through the good times and the hard...and some times are gonna be harder than others..(cont.)
@clayster2 That said...some times you need to put aside the world and make time to be together. Both of you call in sick to work and go do something fun together. Talk a long romantic walk, go to a movie, stay in bed all day and have lots of sex.... or a combo of any of these....whatever helps you two reforge that connection that will get you through the rest of the week. Good luck to you both...and don't freak out when the going gets tough ;)

Our stress level has been through the roof the last couple weeks. Things are starting to get better now that our house is back in one piece. Peope have said that about gays for years and we know that to not be true. History is filled with examples of long lasting relationships between older and younder individuals...gay and straight
@xadam2dudex You don't have nearly enough understanding of our relationship to make that statement. I am not substituting him for my father, I have a healthy relationship with my loving father. Also, we do NOT seek each other because of our age disparity. I look considerably older than my age, and he looks considerably younger. He doesn't seek 19 year olds, we just by chance met, he realized I'm not an immature child and reluctantly we fell for each other.

@Anaprince oh we used to talk about psychic stuff spirit guides, out of body experiences, channeled stuff. That was the mode I was in at the time. I say this as a parent so bear with me....you are their baby and your boyfriend may be close to them in age(approximately). That said....if you are solid in your relationship with your beau then it can wether whatever parental drama may ensue...and it could get intense. Thats what commitment is all about....for better or for worse.
@depfox I'm aware it's going to be another experience like when I came out. I just don't like doing anything in secret now that I've come out to everyone (recently made a status announcement on fbook)... It's easy to have crushes on celebrities because there is usually about zero chance of them ever coming true and thus they are safe.

By all means, share your weird side. :) and a love question, I guess for the channel, how do I meet guys? I've basically never been in the closet so its not like I just came out or anything but it seems that there isnt a way to meet guys. At the only gay club around all they want is sex, and the internet seems so impersonal. Sort of get leaving the state, any advice?

@Anaprince oh we used to talk about psychic stuff spirit guides, out of body experiences, channeled stuff. That was the mode I was in at the time. It was all new to me then and I soaked it in without questioning it. I look at things a bit more critically now...though I have been out about my near death experience fixation. :)

@depfox Yea, I depend on science alot to confirm things. You should look into the science part of indigo children and crystal children. It may reastablish your belief in the metaphysical. Evidentally indigo/crystal children are born with 1 to 2 extra genes geared toward brain developement and all of them have psychic experiences and high IQ's. Idk, something you might be interested in :) Their also called "the new children".

OMG... Holy crap. Bryan, thank you for answering my question. I was passively watching and was totally caught off guard when my name popped up on the screen. I really appreciate your response, and I'd like to say that we don't seek each other out based on our age. He isn't -into- 19 year olds, it's only because I look a lot older than I am, and am I would assume more mature than other 19 year olds that it works. And yes, he's introduced me to his friends, and his coworkers.

@D0ug91 Hey doug...what I didn't get a chance to say due to time constraints was that...yes...your parents are going to freak out. I say this as a parent so bear with me....you are their baby and your boyfriend may be close to them in age(approximately). That said....if you are solid in your relationship with your beau then it can wether whatever parental drama may ensue...and it could get intense. Thats what commitment is all about....for better or for worse.

@depfox I'm aware it's going to be another experience like when I came out. I just don't like doing anything in secret now that I've come out to everyone (recently made a status announcement on fbook)... Also, it's my first relationship too, let's hope that it has some longevity like your first, and none of the manipulation.
I'm really happy you answered this one, it was your mature perspective that I was looking for.

@D0ug91 So...both of you may need to work up the courage to do this. eventually...after your parents watch you two be together day in and day out, loving each other...they may see how much he means to you and how much he cares for you and they will stop seeing him as the "older man" and just see him as someone you love. remember that their resistance is coming out of a place of love and protectiveness for you. Give them the benifit of the doubt and take the risk. :)

@giovanniimperiale If he tells you he's not gay then I would take him at his word. If he REALLY is or is not is beside the point. He is presenting to you that he isn't and that needs to be respected. It's easy to have crushes on celebrities because there is usually about zero chance of them ever coming true and thus they are safe.

@depfox Could your friend be bi or gay?....sure. However, he is either not comfortable with being gay...or...he is comfortable with his heterosexuality enough to indulge in some harmless guy crushes.
You need a lot more to go on than an occasional crush on an unobtainable person to give you the go ahead to take such a huge risk with your friend....ou could risk losing that friendship. But hey...if your in love then thats what taking chances is all about right?
