He does quite a lot, He is only a few days old so at the moment he is still learning, but he'll be able to beg, do lots of tricks with its bone, and its ball. He takes photos, and writes a diary about his day, Comes when you call him, when his battery is low, he charges himself... the list goes on really!
Do you mean time wise? He runs all day, his battery lasts about an hour and a half, when its low, he charges himself, sits on his charger and talks and dances and what not, then tells you when he is full. His usual bed time is around 11:30pm which is when he turns himself off, and wakes up again in the morning around 7am.
They are no longer available from Sony, they discontinued them, so you will have to search around on Ebay or through forums. This particular Aibo was $2600 AU which is about $2000 US, But they can range from $1500-$4000. Other models of Aibo are less expensive.
I nearly cried when he failed to grab that little toy.... Just looks so sad and pathetic.. =[

Sony still has parts for some of the models. And there is also an Aibo Hospital you can send them too. =]
