Is it just me, or are many British high streets replications of one another with Waitrose, Tesco, Cafe Nero, Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury, Gregs, and a few other usual suspects repeating themselves over and over again?
i live in California and one of the thing I noticed was how there were no fat people haha. Here we don't nearly walk as much a you guys do. I'm seriously considering studying at the University there and this video was really helpful in providing insight into city life, thanks!
@adrian87camaro If you do come across let me know. As for obesity that is now a problem over here, but we are not as much a car economy as California is.
@Stickings90 For sure dude. Yeah we are very much a car oriented out here in Cali. We drive everywhere, even if its only a short distance. In fact right now is cruising and car show season, so its all about cars.
I am hoping to spend a day or two there this summer to get a better feel for the city and talk to someone at the University, but I still have some things to sort out before I know for sure. From what I see I hear the nightlife is pretty intense over there ha ha; look forward to that. Don't know if I could get use to the cold weather, especially coming from California lol.
@Stickings90 I returned to Newcastle after many years away in 2002 for a visit. I was shocked to see how many fat people there are there. Maybe I had not noticed before but in my opinion this is a major problem. However it is not as bad as it is in the US.

Personally I would prefer to believe in a fairy tale world where people did not get heart attacks instead of having to watch what I eat and walk everywhere instead of taking the bus or my car.
