Finally someone with good taste to make good use of Roland GR-33. Nice trumpet! I'm glad to see than more and more people find out that "Bossa Nova" style is as a Jazz with the feeling and soul, like the "Blues". You saw as he enjoy the music with body. Congratulations!
@fernandosantucci I am humbled by your response.please show this video to others ...as I must share with the world!! merry Christmas my musical brother!!!
I like what you're doing. Here's an unsolicited suggestion - listen and ask whether your phrasing is a little too consistently "behind" the beat. Come in on the stroke for a lead line and lay back for the second line? Anyhow, kudos!
nice I've been trying to decide if I should buy one or not. The learning curve for the roland would be far less than my keyboard that just collects dust.

I don't get it: why not just learn this melody on trumpet? Synth will never be the same or better than the original instrument. Great guitarist, stick with what you do best, leave the synth for the ravers.
hunter thats not a "smart" comment...wtf...dude I spent 22 years on guitar to get to this level...now Im supposed to learn trumpet, let alone buy one??? dude i love my synth and the ravers....can kiss my ass!!! peace man
I was totally convinced that it was a real trumpet playing and I was confused about where the guitar was until I realized you were playing the trumpet part. 22 Years, nothings going to stop you man, keep on rocking and set it free.
Geez you could do a promo video for Roland guitar synth with that. It's amazing you can pull that stuff off on guitar (the sax stuff). I loved the Jigg you did with the Roland as well.
VERY nice my brutha, very smooth. Not overdone by any means. Is that the same TYPE of guitar that Pat Metheny uses? It sounds amazing. Where'd you get the backing track? It's perfect. I'd love to solo over it.
chance..no need to reploy but i got the roland gr-20.now sold..........er..well lets just say if u play neoclassical it wont keep up....what with midi tracking.....trumpet patch worked a breeze though so not always a prob
vinothelizard.... u fool, take the time to look at this guys other stuff and ull soon realise u have not 1 clue what u are on about. pleanty of crap out there...not here though....BTW where are ur vids????
I have nothing against "Chance", but noone can honestly say that the trumpet from the beginning sounds good. I hate it when Pat Metheny uses it too. It just sounds like doo doo.
thats your opinion dude, your entitled to it, but I disagree. They do not sound as good as the real thing of course, but they have a unique sound to them and must be played right!@!
Wow - Stan Getz comes to life on guitar! ;) I like how you're willing to stretch out into all styles. Keep up the great work and never stop discovering.

Bom guitarista, mas não captou a alma da bossa nova. Poderia ter improvisado mais ao invés de simplemente seguir a melodia.

wildstringdom, imagine a trumpetplayer sounding like a guitar,Huntermann has a point.
I understand that U luv your Synth, but youre a fine guitarplayer, in my opinion you dont need a gimmick like that, but keep up the good work.
Greets.

I don't view it as a gimmick, just tones and "colors" Synth is very challenging too...thanks for your view though!!! cheers!!

It was not good, no. It is more than good, it is the spirit of music, present, but you didn't feel it. Sadness!
