how many miles is the rose parade? here in louisiana for mardi gras we march like 6 miles every parade

5.5 miles. I just find out the band is the world-famous Grambling State marching Band. The weather was great at Pasadena which is practically a suburb of L.A. Rose March in New Year, Mardi Gras in Feb, can't beat that!

Hmmm - I haven't been to Mardi Gras before. Been thinking about it but Feb is not the easiest time especially it's a few weeks after New Year vacation. In any case, I did a bit search on the web, some web sites put the parade route to 5-6 miles. The crowd extends a lot further than that.

I suggest it, it's very fun, I wouldn go to a New Orleans one if i were you, the crowds are so massive, but come to Houma, La, they're really fun

They're all over the Southern Louisiana area, every Friday night Saturday night and Sunday Morning around February, and for Monday night the day before Mardi Gras and on Mardi Gras in the morning, im not sure about New Orleans schedule though

Will take your advice to go to Mardi Gras next Feb. Sounds like the entire Southern LA is in a festival mood and the fun lasts for quite some weeks.
