When I´ve read `Arkandien´ some time ago, I´ve first listend to this.my first thought who´s "whot the fuck" and I kllicked it away. then , after some time I´ve heard it again and coudn`t stop repeating it... ;D
I love the drama in the music, I think the voice suits it brilliantly but it's one I'll have to listen to a few times to get used to. Very much of it's time this one Tim but makes a beautiful change to what I'd normally listen to. =)
This is a masterpiece. Listen to the arrangement; genius. And Scott's voice is in a class by itself. I still listen to this CD to this day, on a regular basis. This is "art". Fantastic post Tim!
This, Todd Rundgren and Tim Buckley are the legacy of my mentor Lenny who was 5 years older than me (16 and 21 respectively in 69). He had an amazing record collection and library and I was like a sponge. He was one cool guy. RIP mate

Two of my favourites by him, certainly from the early period. Both examples of timbre, rather than just pitch. Fantastic!
