  • Very nice cruise you got there

  • how high might those waves be?

  • set the sail raise the anchor, there be a wave over the deck of me ship! argh!!!

  • Hey I got a question. Does it cost alot to fill up this tanker? I was thinking of buying one and taking me and my buddies out fishing, but I dont want to pay too much on fuel. Oh and 1 more. Is it hard to put it in the water? Like if I was to have a dingy like this in my driveway and just take it to the public boat ramp on weekends rather than leaving it in the water?

  • nice ship!!!

  • Banana ships are mad on rough seas, flat bottom hull and crew end up all over the place. Used to get on my nerves big time.

  • How are this ships able to survive in this kind of weather!!?? This iss soo extreme !!! THe poower of the ocean !!!! :OPOOOO

  • Where's the Wave?!

  • id rather flip burgers at mcdonalds, fuck that shit!

  • seen bigger waves in my backyard pool

  • @kobasica ha lol. Is that when u do a cannon ball?

  • That would be an awesome job to be a captain of one of those.

  • you must have a big ass bathtub

  • hahaha nice one xD

  • That ship is bigger than the town I live in!

  • How can you live on this thing and not puke!!!!

  • because hes cool and your not :D

  • some people can i one that can

  • I did whas a sailor for almost 12 years, but on much smaller ships.

Traveling around the world with a coaster only 600 tons.

  • everyone can talk some crap out of their mouths....specially who watch lot of youtube

  • Love walking the tunnels in weather like this and watching the ship flex and twist with the waves...any one whos ever sailed the North Atlantic or the Great Lakes knows what I'm talking about!!... Ride 'em cowboys...never been seasick a day in my life...but I have been scared shitless.

  • thats why i cruise on the pacific in the summer XD

  • Itst TOOOOOO SCARIEEEEEEYYYY :O

  • woosh !

  • I would enjoy the hell out of that. Wish I could ride on a ship that size in bad weather once.

  • your ship?

  • read the description he says the boat I WORKED ON

  • so that excludes the possibility of being his boat?

  • awesome

  • wow so tall and big ship... nice

  • Yeah, and the wave is still bigger. Unbelievable.

  • nice vid

looks like its fully laden with oil?

dont spill any onto alaska this time

  • were you on the bridge???

  • ofc he was?

  • Yes, it is interesting.

  • What?! I don't know what kinds of ships you've been sailing on. "Submarine tankers"?

  • no! they are fresh water supplyers i mean bunkers. if you doing this job! you can see them on istanbul road. i know those are not big vessel but at result they are sailing too.

  • It isn't his ship you idiots, doesn't anyone read descriptions?

'deck of a tanker i worked ON'

  • haha yeah no shit, he wouldnt be saying "Were not really allowed on deck right now" If it was HIS ship fucken idiots.. noobtube ..

  • Haha yeah, all the comments below = retards

"Your ship?! You're a lucky man, man!"

    "You've got a nice craft"

"How much did that craft set you back $"

    Rofl at those idiots.

  • your ship?! You're a lucky man, man!

  • thats shit

  • You 've got a nice craft

  • how much did that craft set you back $

  • man i would of been sick for a couple days

  • i hope this doesn't happen to our little sports cruiser lol

  • ohh you have a great ship^^

    very large

  • oil tanker??

  • i wonder how the hull isn't cracking in half when the entire front part of the ship is off the surface

  • I'm pretty sure they make them with these conditions in mind.

  • I never knew anyone who actually "owned" an oil tanker.

  • Read the description he said he worked on it.

  • great video I`m a commercial pilot and the weather is getting worst these days for flying too - the CB`s are bigger each day and it`s force is tremendous for the planes but in our cases...we have more velocity to escape to deviate or something like that...you must go straight ahead on the waves ?

  • Your must have misunderstood your intructors - Swell height is definately variable. Decks awash are nothing new on a tanker.

  • congratulations captain,good handling

  • that's odd. instructors told us that wave heights are basically the same in high seas, you should've recorded all the other high waves that went over the deck

  • is this a sailing boat?

  • it's a tanker....

  • i was kidding

  • no you weren't.

  • They don't need to clean up the dack now the sea has done there job.

  • Huge ship and waves, it looks! I am curious to know, for that ship (or a ship as much similar to that one as possible to be taken as example), how long/wide it is and especially how high is the deck from the sea surface in normal cruising condition (same or less load), how often and what are the severe weather conditions refraining a ship like that from sailing (only hurricanes?). I am no connessur at all, so if anyone has a minute to help.. . I can't make out the schale of what I see here

  • Reading the description helps to get rid of arguements, kids! *hohhohhoooh*

  • Mate, it looks like it's about to break in two.

  • I'd hate to be on that, looks like it would snap

  • Um...there's a large difference between "wet" and "snapped". It looked perfectly safe to me, just a bit uncomfortable.

  • Careful, dude! You got the stacks on the video! Shhhhh! Those new class sure are nice lookin ships, though...

  • wow how big were the swells?

  • that's really cool man!

  • nice Ship... I wonder how many Somalian pirates are watching this ship....

  • a few maybe 8.....9 or maybe 89

  • nice ship u got over there

  • I would puke!!!!!!!!!!

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

  • Пиздато

  • Fuck that job... good on yah for doing it but.... little too stranded for me.

  • if thats his ship im sure he got more money than you got smart guy

  • Damn. You see tankers out at see but you don't realize just how big they really are.

  • your ship sucks go get a new one

  • That about the funniest comment I've seen all day. rofl

  • It was loll

  • That is really impressive how that vessel is taking those seas. I work on tankers and we were rolling like a pig in seas like that, you know anything about B class Product carriers?

  • this is awesome/scary!

  • Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

  • never seen a shot from there..pretty cool...and damn, ther's some really stupid people putting comments on here

  • would be cool to go surfing on the deck of a ship

  • it look fun but those waves carry over tones of water and slam the ship so hard

i have seen one ship that lost it deck b/c of those waves

  • that would wash you cleen :)

  • That's serious man. How much does this make the ship rock?

  • i love Surfing but i´m afraid of those waves xD Are like a monsters xD Woww !!

  • the sea is some sick shit

  • I've been in a situation like this with those waves, maybe even bigger ones, in Norway.. it was so scary .. I thought I was going to survive ..

  • your not allowed on deck u dick cause u would fuck up the deck with your god damn lies

  • hahahahaha

  • For all the dickheads who didnt read it its the ship he worked on, and yes i can see tht comment below me.

  • HELLO PPL maybe he is meaning "THE SHIP I WORK" come on LoL....

  • theres lots of ppl who own there own tanker fleets

  • YOUR SHIP ye right! show off..

  • i can see why youre not allowed on deck.

  • tough ship.

  • ooo catastrophic

  • i've seen worse...

  • man i wish i could get back out to sea

  • That looks like the cruise ship from hell. Where the fuck is the pool and volley ball court

  • Its a Tanker, not a cruise ship. The descroption is there for a reason..-_-

  • get much sodemy out there in the deep blue sea?

  • what? that's gotta be the wierdest comment ever

  • Wow, You see an Oil Tanker and the first thing you think of to comment on is sodemy? HMMMMM?

  • That water looks spooky, hmm imagina a torpedo from a submarine hitting that tanker :D

  • Thank god im not the only one thinking same :P

    Fire tube 1!

  • Dude it´s felxing !

  • Big boat but boring film, sorry. boat looks like one of them big bendy oil things that sometimes snap

  • ...and pollute thousands of gallons of water with oil.

  • ...and then hurt any water creatures in that area.

  • wow! awesome site

  • was anyone on deck?

    did anyone get injured?

    or thrown off board?

  • Hehe cadets are happy beacuse they don't have to clean the board :D Water did it for them :P

  • not allowed on deck hell no stay the hell off that deck!

  • HI! my name is Jason, I'm eating popcorns! cya!

  • cool

  • lol man

  • man your ship must bend like hell

  • @pozb you have low IQ

  • Maybe he owns the company.

  • Wow, those must be huge seas because it's moving your ship around and your ship looks massive too!. What dead weight is your ship?.

  • i think it is oil tanker.

  • Oil or chemical

  • What ship is that? Pretty Big.

  • I have hours of video just like this one from the decks of the Oversea's Alaska(razor blades now) and Ohio. I sailed with the SIU out of Seattle for many years! Thanks for the flashbacks!

  • fuck man,

ill be suprized if that fucker could top 5 knots. LOL

  • that´s a huge motherfucker :p

  • I worked for ATC for a few minutes! (Ha-Ha!) This is one of the Catalina Class Tankers right? Junea, Boston, Washington, (Which One?) I saw this video and had an immeadiate flashback. Bet I lived on this one. One of the SIU boys out of Frisco - Super Dave!

  • Nice chop out there! although a vessel that large probably didn't feel it too much!

  • Nothing there that ship couldn't handle.

  • wow nice swell... very scary

  • They ride well, even in ballast. With the raised forecastle they cut through the seas OK. The problem in Gulf of Alaska is when you start to "submarine". Basically the deck disappears and all you see is the Kingpost, and the Foremast, and thats it. When she bucks hard, you know your digging in. These babies warp like a tuning fork. Flexing is a good thing. Breaking is a bad thing.

  • thanks for your reply, but that 'submarine' sounds very ominous..is that what happened to edmund fitzgerald?...which looks a lot like the ship the video?

  • The Edmund Fitzgerald was a single hull ore carrier on the great lakes. There is no definative answer to the cause of the accident, but what id beleived to have happened is that she bottomed out and was holed when passing a shallow shoal. She was taking on water unknown to the crew. When a large wave passed, she just swamped and kept going down. It is figured that she sank in fifteen seconds. The watch never even got off a mayday.

  • Yeah, I'm a little supriced that I can't find the video of the sinking here. I saw it a few months ago. I was shocked that it can actually go down that fast. One wave covering the boat - gone!

  • Its a typical Aframax (around 110000 DWT)

    Its double hull.

Dry cargo is worse than oil cargo.

Thats why they give higher freeboard to bulkers.

  • WRONG!

  • were are you been?

  • said in the description it was in the gulf of alaska lol

  • fuck that for a game of soldiers. you must have balls of steel. respect.

  • Is this ship one of the new double-hull ships built for BP @ NASSCO?

  • I concur. Tonsina or Kenai

  • That looks like either the Tonsina or the Kenai.

  • It is mostly the pitching that is causing sea sickeness not the rolling. Anyway, in this video I don't see too much rolling or pitching. It is a big, loaded tanker - you need a hurricane to make life on it uncomfortable.

  • Actually tankers suffer because their cargo is liquid oil.. as the ship begins to roll the oil sloshes about inside and makes it worse.

  • Tankers only really suffer from this because they have such a low freeboard. I was on a containership that's about 2/3 the size of some of the biggest ones, and we barely got as much as five degrees of roll.

  • cool vid mate and thats a big ship

  • wow im suprised you lads wernt bieng sick all over.

    YOU HAVE MY RESPECT TO.

  • what region were you guys in

  • That`s what i call a big-assed sea! You sir, have my respect :0)

  • thats amazing, thanks for posting!

  • Where r these images taken and what's the name of the vessel?

  • nice video,thank you:)
