  • Make you a video over windows 7 install?

  • are you gonna put windows 7 on it?

  • I get Windows 7 Professional for Free as an University student. However, I am waiting a couple of months before installing it.

  • U gotta overclock it next,

  • sorry..i mean driver to be installed

  • do u knoe in the installing thing .....its asking me what driver do i want it to install to....what do i put

  • nice

  • omg i cant wait to get my new pc it cost me 3900$

but i was a VERY HOT cool god like pc;) you have there

  • Even though it was like 2 years ago, your computer still looks awesome!

  • Thanks dude. It still runs perfectly and maxes all games coming out thus far. Well worth the money that I paid such a long time ago :)

I'm thinking in about a years time maybe 2 years time I will build a completely silent and water cooled rig. It's all about finding money haha.

  • Awesome! As silent as the PS3? Or maybe as silent as the 360 playing games off the hard drive? Or just floating out in space silent?

    XD

The water cooling seems like a good idea, just make sure you hook everything up right and very well or else one wrong move and your whole system is gone! :(

Anyway, good luck with your computer in the future!

  • Haha as silent as silence. I am talking acoustic foam and what not :D

Yeah water cooling will be awesome, especially in Australian summers. I am gonna look into that liquid cooling where it doesn't conduct electricity so doesn't matter if it leaks :)

  • Your in Australia obviously, but i thought water cooled PC's were illegal?

  • oooh, I never knew there was water that didn't conduct electricity!

  • Thats an amazing motherboard Startup screen

  • You didnt finish the dun dun song!!

  • damn ur pc iz a Goliath

  • Dude you press Enter pretty damn hard xD

  • Probably why it stops working once every couple of months. Such a terrible habit. Hahaha.

    *BAM*

  • so the bios loads up, do i put in the OS straight? or go through some options?

  • Go into BIOS, set boot up preference to CD. Wack OS CD in and it will auto boot from disc :)

  • spast xD

  • i have purchased zalman cnps 9700NT applied thermal compound came with it core tempratures are not so good as before, should i reapply with arctic cooling mx2. my previous tempratures are below 39'C with TRUE

  • no serious ...why a lot of people use vista??there are a lot of games and programs that are'nt compatible whit tha....i'll don't undertstand why...NEVER....it is a solution?

  • cause people buy computers in stores its easier

  • directx 10 noob

  • i have xp sp3, and im waitng for windows 7

  • do you have to go to bios

can you just get done then wait for the beep then put in the os

  • I have the same screen as you!!

  • lol @ your friend and perfectly placed guitar effects :)

  • Yup, he was playing on my guitar constantly while he was over haha :)

  • Sweet sounds pretty easy I think I might try building one since I'm an addict to moding things.

  • Go for it, it was a really big experience for me getting into the field of what I want to do for a career, only harm can come out of it is blowing up haha :)

  • I'm new to the pc gaming community I was wounding I have no clue how to operate the bios system do you have to do any thing to it or can you just put in the os disk and began loading it?

  • Mucking around with the BIOS isn't as daunting as it seems. No real harm can come about, all you have to do is discard the changes before quiting rather then saving :) Have a look around and familiarize yourself with it, if you accidentally change something, thats fine just don't press save on quit.

Ummm you have to Change the boot preference to CD, then wack the OS disc in and you're on your way :)

  • mad pc

  • thanks dude

  • How much did all of that cost u?

  • steaaaaaaaam! :) cs! hope its 1.6 ;P

  • Hehe I used to have 1.6 agesssss ago but not anymore. Feel free to message me your Steam ID.

  • how's your cpu temperature with this zalman heatsink ?

  • Its very good, right now its 40C but that may seem high to some but thats really good for where I have my computer. Ive got it in my enclosed room all day, on a hot Australian day.

  • well my q6600 running on 60-70C stock cooler

it's also really hot here,so i really need a new cpu cooler..

  • lol i hav water cooling and mines @ 50 ^^

  • Nice pc, how much did you spend with keyboard and mouse and screen together with the whole pc? O ya, when you say install the drivers you only mean the video cards right? or is there like one for mobo, processer, stuff like dat

  • All up back in the day everything was 3k roughly, I cant remember the exact price. Yup you need drivers for most things. Keyboard cos of its lcd screen, mouse for sensitivity, monitor, graphics card and mobo.

  • Awesome PC. You should be able to do some amazing OCing with that huge orange heatsink. I own the Samsung 226BW to, its a superb LCD :)

  • the zalman 9700

  • Thanks for the videos, Them are great. =) Look my videos, i'm telling my computers info there, and i'm buying new gpu soon etc. Then i have new gpu, i take videos, and put there.

  • Hey man, im pretty much getting the EXACT same setup haha.

Although I was going for a different motherboard, however I think I want the Striker now Ive seen some videos on it and such.

How much did you spend on your system in total if you dont mind me asking.

Im also aussie aswell, what part you from?

  • OEM version when you buy it says (with new hardware only) so that's basicly it... put if your updating your computing who gives a shit....

  • how much was all this like thousands??/

    plz reply

  • what will it say that u have vista oem??

is it full version or only a trial??

  • Its the exact same, not a trial or anything. Instead of buying the OS from Microsoft your buying a retailers version. Same exact program just half the price.

  • this is my gaming rig.. its similar to yours ^^

  • ok listen m8 i want your 100% honest opinion what is better for fps games ... sqare or widescreen monitors?

  • Umm depends what games you play more often. Older games that don't support wide screen resolutions and you have to force it by entering in commands into console to make it stretch full screen can make the picture seem a little bit stretched. Square monitors if you don't mind playing on a smaller screen. Wide screen if you like new games and have a card to play at its max resolution.

  • 25C my cpu cooler which is 4 years old runs low 30's

  • lol what song was he playing?

  • how do u did the bios update and what do u used...a usb stick or cd/dvd?

  • You go to the Asus website downloads page, put in your correct board and download the update in a zip, extract it onto your desktop. Then use the AsusUpdate program and choose to open rather then download update. Open the file you extracted and when its done it will ask you to reset.

  • if i wanna upgrade the bios before installing the os..and btw i got vers 1303 bios ..i heard it`s the best

  • i saw that big logo at the boot.. you can remove that in Bios FYI.

  • This video is getting old now, couple weeks later after making it I removed it in bios.

  • hurray!

  • Oh and also since then I now have those blue LED's that circulate around the board are now constantly on.

  • irrelevant: hehe uploaded the day before my birthday haha

  • can i ask how long it took to install it

    all together thansk mate

  • Umm we were pretty relaxed about it so maybe 4 hours. Then another hour for OS and drivers and all that shiz.

  • how much did the system itself tally up to? like excluding the keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

  • you know could have the led lights always on. just got to go in ur bios to do it

  • very nice rig man!

  • where did u get that desk from?

  • Umm I have had it for years wouldn't have a clue. Im guessing though office works or Ikea would have a similar desk. Really cheap too.

  • Where did you get all this? Was it just on one site? How much did this all cost?

  • very nice

  • Hi can you list down all your specs for your cpu I would like to compare them...thanks!

  • Case:Thermaltake Armor CPU:Intel Quad Core Q6600 #GO Steping Heatsink:Zalman CNPS9700 Mobo:Asus Striker Extreme RAM:2x 1gig Team Xtreem 1066Mhz HDD:500Gb Western Digital GPU:XFX 8800GTX OS:XP VDU:Samsung 22" 2ms PSU:Thermaltake Tough power 850watt Mouse:Logitech G5 2007 Edition Keyboard: Logitech G15
  • hey JIZZ i can hear that ur from Aus so which state u in? i wanna see if u could help me build one. I would pay for it so dont worry

  • Hey... uhmm i thought you had windows vista ultimate... you put XP as your os... and also the thermaltake armor, what was it exactly bec ause i think that the computer you built is almost an exact copy for mine minus the mobo and CPU (which is an intel extreme qx6700 :))

  • I did have Vista Ultimate but Vista sucks so i reformatted and installed XP.

Yep its just a black Thermal take Armor super tower.

  • did u guys install the CPU fan before putting the mobo in cause it was big? or do u have to install the fan first? cause i just finished building my rig, but havent installed the CPU or the CPU fan yet.

  • Ummm we installed it before putting the mobo in, just easier imo lots of tiny screws for the CPU fan

  • Hi can you list down all your specs for your cpu I would like to compare them...thanks!

  • Specs for my CPU its a Q6600 Intel 2.4 Ghz Quad Core

  • Oh lolz sorry can you list all the components of your gaming rig, thanks =)

  • quit spamming faggot

  • Then your BIOS should be 1305, i am having lot problem with CPU INIT :( installed something wrong or what. from first day getting cpu init problem. my config is ---

    Revision 1305

    BIOS Date 08/22/2007

    Module 1 DDR2, PC2-6400 (400 MHz), 1024 MBytes, Kingston

    Module 2 DDR2, PC2-6400 (400 MHz), 1024 MBytes, Kingston

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

    Code Name Kentsfield

    Specification Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz

  • When you install that Asus disc it gives you a program called ASUSupdate, you could try that.

  • which version of BIOS are you using for Q6600 Processor. Again somehow manage to boot my system. please upload it in rapidshare give me the link. :(

  • Im just using the one with the disc that Asus give you.

  • mm Windows Vista?

That will decrease your performance, read my other comment.. I suggest you should do the same to run it EVEN better XD. Or do you use Vista for DX10? You can always download TinyVista which is tweaked and cutdown & also DX10

    Nice rig though

  • I have XP again now :)

  • i have Cooler master mid tower case can i install Zalman CNPS 9700 or its too big for my to fit into it. And which LCD, Speakers and sound card are you using.I have two computers in my room i wanna to connect them too share files etc what equipments i have to use. i think you are using it too. it will be very helpfull if post a detailed video of it. thanx :) by the way what job are you doing?

  • For the Zalman look at the dimensions on there website and compare it to your case, this should give an approximate size to see if it will fit.

My LCD if you watch My Gaming Rig (Part 1) is a Samsung 226BW, Speakers are Logitech X230 and my soundcard is a separate card to the motherboard which was provided with the striker. To share files its kinda like a LAN you need a router that has LAN ports on the back or a LAN Hub switch...I think :D

  • I think I will post a video on it actually ill do it sometime tomorrow. I used to be a check out chick but gonna do something else very soon XD

  • which CPU fan are you using si big and looks monster lol, why dont you use Liquid cooling either cooler master Aquagate its really compact and can be installed in any case. I will buy cooler master or Thermaltake Big Water. Hey have you spend from your own pocket or MOMS. :)

  • CPU fan is the Zalman CNPS 9700. Im not a huge fan of liquid cooling as 1) this was my first build and 2) if anything did/does happen i would'nt have another computer untill about 2 years :) I built the entire PC with my own money, it was also a Xmas present so my mum bought the little things like keyboard and speakers.

  • did you had any problem with the mother board cause i got the same motherboard with the same zalman 9700, 1000w supply but when i put it ak together the leds on the mother board turned on but the motherboard doesnt turn on at all no sign of powers on the fans or anything

  • Very nice pc man btw my cous lives in autralia

    im gonna subscribe to you

    happy gaming

  • pretty good gaming pc you have!

  • 1 m fan haha nice1 ;D

  • anyone here got CPU INII Error on back pannel LCD Screen please heplp me out :(

  • Specs of my computer Processor Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40Ghz Video Card ASUS EN8800GTS 320MB Motherboard ASUS Striker Extreme SLI Memory Corsair 2GB Monitor Samsung 22" 2ms LCD widescreen Speakers Logitech 5.1 speakers

But Im still upgrading adding 1 more video card, two memory sticks 1 gig each, power supply to 1000 and water cooling

  • LOL we got the same monitor

Specs of my computer Processor Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40Ghz Video Card ASUS EN8800GTS 320MB Motherboard ASUS Striker Extreme SLI Memory Corsair 2GB Monitor Samsung 22" 2ms LCD widescreen Speakers Logitech 5.1 speakers

  • Umm I ran into a few problems along the way but if it all goes smoothly shouldn't take more then 3 hours by yourself. Having another person definitely does help sometimes. I have a younger sister which ='s little fingers :D

  • Is ur vista 32 bit or 64 bit?

  • 32bit based on the fact that 64bit Vista is more buggy and less compatible with everything, it also seems to crash more aswell. But that doesnt matter now seeing as im back on XP :)

  • Back on XP, why?

  • Because XP is soooo much more greater then Vista will ever be. DX10 is not worth the headaches with Vista. You probably wont understand unless you go out and buy Vista and see for yourself. While making my Prey video it crashed about 4 times due to Vista's and Vista's driver's lack for Open GL support. I re passed Prey again on XP and NOT ONE! crash.

  • Isnt the service pack coming out soon?

  • Maybe who knows, they set a date then move it forward another 6 months, then another 6 months etc just like they did with XP. Even if the service pack does come out this year I doubt anything could fix that screwed up UAC controller and Admin rights. XP > Vista.

    OpenGL > DirectX10

  • i have same ASUS striker extreme, on LCD poster back of it showing cpu init error and systems hangs have faced same problem like me.

  • Lol yeh i just built my pc but i was dead nervus when vista was loading but u feel so good after the first boot

  • 1 metre fan hehe XD

  • i see light bleeeeed

  • 7 more monf... and iz b getin a 5000$ gamin rig lolz... seursly... no kidin... gonna earn money by myself :P

  • Thats the way, its not mummy and daddy's rig its yours when you fully pay for it :)

  • callllum you little poof :p, nice vid bro,

    peace out. Apoc.

  • Hey cool vid.. how much did ultimate cost???

  • Around $260 Australian

  • WOW.. you replyed quickly.

    Antway thanxs

  • I wish i could play guitar like that! :(

  • OMG i cant wait to build my computer but i dont know which operating system to put on mine vista or XP pro.

  • XP for a fast reliable system.

    Vista for purrrrtttyy graphics.

Why not both, dual boot that shizz.

  • i just might do that

  • lol i zoomed at ur key!

  • Rofl

  • i have watched all the videos, thx great videos :D

  • sorry for the pointless post, but DAAAMMN I love that monitor! I might get the 19" model next year.

  • if you didn't fix it, change boot order to first boot on HDD, so you don't need to press anything :)

  • he fix it already but the HDD sucks anyway..

  • How does my HDD suck? Is it because its not a overpriced raptor which I didn't have money for?

And what do you mean fix?

  • no... i did not mean it that way.....me i know ur gonna laugh wen i say this but me and my friends are trying to build a computer with two mother board i know it practically impossible but me and my friends are going to try.. and IF it works i will send u the video personally ok???sory about the HDD ok.....ang how many watz do i need for 2 mother in one computer????

  • hehe no probs, I have actually seen a computer with 2 motherboards, im pretty sure its in this video.Ill send you the URL.

Hope it helps you out. As for the watts I would suggest maybe finding a case or modding it so it can fit 2 PSU's or just buy a huge 1000 watt :D

  • damn nice !!! i hafe build my own pc to.. but not as that kinda good lolz.. xD i got amd 4400+ x2 dualcore.. Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe/Wireless 2g ram OCZ and now im running 2 6800GT's and vista ultimate.. :) its running damn good. im only thinking of to buy a XFX 8800GT in ure vid u showing the 8800GTX damn dude my mouse dude !! aa the 8800GTX is fucking hudge man xD but hmm.. :P byee
  • Congrats on the rig man, which version of Vista do you have installed 32 or 64?

  • Awesome computer, I just got a new Thermaltake case and just waiting on delivery of all of my other parts :)

    BTW whats your steam?

  • It's exciting isn't it the first time you load up??

  • Yeah very exciting but scary at the same time :D

  • cool vid. Was that your mate playing that guitar?

  • Yeh he was playing on my guitar, StoneDog1991. He has some vids up of his comp and gameplay aswell so you should check him out if your interested.

  • No I don't have it aye, ill look it up :)

  • Great vid when i installed vista i left the disc in and installed it twice oops.

I'm currently building my 3rd rig, hopefully it'll be done by nxt week :D

  • Cool 3rd build ill have to check them out :)

It was a little nerve racking but its running stable now so im not afraid to leave it on at night anymore :D

  • I heard that vista is using its full potentials cos of certain aspects. i'm gonna stick with XP till i get the go ahead! :D

  • So far I haven't had too many problems with Vista, just little niggling things which should all be fixed in SP1.

  • great great!

  • nice vid, the first boot must be so nerve racking

  • Brilliant job !

Get some gameplay videos up so we can see what the games look like on it and how it performs on all high graphics settings !!

  • I plan on tomorrow maybe doing GRAW and HL2 lost Coast :)

  • That g0 CPU overclocks nicely to 3.6 or more, give it a try - I got mine to 3.8.

  • I plan on ocing soon. Thanks for the comment :)

  • I might get another 8800 down the track, but might just save up for the 9000 series, not sure yet :D. Nice system dude.

  • @_@

  • Gah how did you find out!!! haha

    Glad you liked it dude.
