  • Saw him a few years ago at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago and boy was he GREAT! Best show I've ever experienced. He was just electrifying. He's got the music in him!

  • showing his roots for sure; he has an interesting point with keeping the blues simple, raw and powerful.

  • WHAT A LESSON!! Let the blues settle and cook, its not as easy as one imagine. Muddy said that at one time.

  • wasnt this guy on walk hard?

  • Yep! Good catch. He was the dude on the porch. He turned 94 yesterday. Pretty sure he is on Facebook. Up for another Grammy (Lifetime achievement?) this year I think. Check out Lynn Weiss Orman on Facebook too. She is a blues promoter and works with him.

  • honeyboy shines like a bright star! thank you for this excellent footage of the master bluesman!

  • Honeyboy is great! : )

  • I saw this guy at Leicester blues festival last year, he was ace. Went to see him on my own cos no one else could make it and emptied my bank account to do it but it was worth it cos it was a unique piece of music and history.

  • Saw Honeyboy last year. Aged 93 and he was on stage for 90 minutes and hung around after to chat to us. A true legend.

  • @thejukeboxninja

Yeah, he did that for us in NY too. A true gentleman, never mind legend. So humble, gracious and kind, I wish more of his Blues progeny were so humble and gracious

  • I had the immense pleasure of hearing him at the Old Town School of Folk Music a few years ago (for free people!). OMG he blew me away - it was one of the best musical experiences of my life! He is amazing, beautiful, gorgeous, lovely, so talented and the music just flows from him.

  • Can you imagine he hung out with Robert Johnson?! That's like being pals with Jesus and living to tell the story.

  • Thumbs up =) you made me laugh lol.

  • Not only that, he was one of the last people to see him alive. Simply amazing.

  • have him on dvd,he has sooo much stories and he has alot of wisdom,he is so soulful and full of life,he is truely a blessed man.
