We take our hits! Especially in the 97 degree heat last September! That way we could sit in the shade and drink water. I must have gotten lit up by an MG42 a few times.

I also got a hell of a good laugh there for a bit when the woman said "dont worry he has a GD impression" becuase i am in GD ;) Grossdeutschland hahaha. i do DAK as well lol soooo i took a double hit all at once from hitler lol.

Can't please everyone. If you think its lame... then its lame to you. The censored words were a way to keep it clean. Not everything needs to be desensitized these days, and from what I've heard it enables wives/kids to watch as well and not be offended. Thanks for the criticism though.

Usually its spawned by seeing a guy on the other side not take a "no shit" hit... So yeah, its spreads like a plague and even the most honest of us are guilty at least once.

I've studied the Wehrmacht long before I started doing GI. In fact... the East front in general... when some of the guys told me that they did Heer for OstFront... I jumped onboard, and they are fun, I like my secondary impressions more than my main (442d RCT/34th ID)

This video pretty much sums up the tactical experience, usually on the afternoon battles or on Day Two when frustrations start to mount because time is winding down and objectives haven't been achieved. Reenactor satire - a pretty funny way to make a point!

The 2nd day is usually more fun. Some smaller events and the Sunday battle not as many feelings are hurt. I guess because no one cares anymore. Our osts and North Africa events are pretty small and are usually fun because all of us are there for fun. I think some reenactors need to take a deep breath and laugh for once.

A reenactor is an individual who "acts out" something, usually its historical. The most common ones you see are American Civil War and World War Two reenactors, but there are others spanning back to ancient times. They all accrue period gear for the nation and usually you can see them educating the public with display or mock battles.

I had a long explanation but I got frustrated after the 4th time trying to upload. "taking a hit" is when a reenactor "dies" during a tactical event. Some types of units (Airborne, Elite units, Waffen SS) are notorious for not taking hits. Its by a reenactor for reenactors. I'm sorry if you don't get the joke.
