  • hello, is this machine available? i want one.... tell me something blease...thaanks

  • you're a freakin' genius

  • This is insane. Would love one of those. either by purchase or schematics (I built boxes too)

keep it up, awesome and beautiful paintjobs.

  • How are you controlling the filter chip on this?

Are you creating a variable frequency pulse from the micro, or are you using a VCO controlled by the pot. e.g. schmitt oscillator?

  • @ArtistEngineer

just a 560pf cap on pin 8 of the MAX7403 to drive it's internal oscillator. cap to ground, with a pot in between it and ground for variability.

  • @muki123 Sorry, I forgot they have a self drive capability. That's nice and simple then.

I'd use Flash for sample memory, and SRAM for delay line/echo effects. Replace that second 256K SRAM with a 8MBIT Flash. e.g. SST25VF080B 1MByte, $1.24 from Digikey.

Serial Flash are a bit more fiddly because you have to factor in byte programming time, etc, but you'll get a LOT more space for the same price as SRAM. Only issue is limited write lifetime, that's why you have the SRAM as well.

    Good luck!

  • Excellent stuff. I've been thinking about doing a sampler/granulator and your video has given me some good inspiration.

  • O. M. G.

  • that was a joy to listen to.

  • Hey cloudscapes... next one paint like R2D2!

  • WHAT

  • cool sounds .....like it a lot....

  • could I sleep with that?

  • Love it.

  • Fun stuff! Nice work.
