@exia41gundam he director suffered from clinical depression while making the original shows and seed/destiny. so yes. If I recall he got over the depression at the time of 00. but after all of UC and CE setting the tone, gundam's fate is kinda sealed as a depressing anime with the basic recurring theme "humanity is fucked up"

Tomino (The creator) went into a depression after Bandai bought Sunrise in i think 1993. He made Victory Gundam and...it was a murder fest. IN 1999 he got out of his dpression and made Turn A gundam. The director of destiny( who is NOT tomino) had either a brain problem or heart attack and his wife took over and with budget problems is why people dont like destiny

@exia41gundam yeah that's true when a gundam series gets close to its end or the end of its season it starts slowly kill of characters to add a bit of drama to the whole affair, its quite cruel & it works quite well as well; however this does cause changes in characters which can be a good or bad change & its actually quite a clever way of doing things if not quite cruel to the fans lol. Tbh that's why I like gundam a lot cause they know how to add plot twists and other cool stuff like that.

@exia41gundam yea i kno what you mean it sucks. like i didnt care at all when flay died, but when stella did i really cared. there is a reason tho. this happens in every gundam since the original but not as much. the original director Tomino is known for his "kill em all" trend though. Be happy tho, the newer ones not made by him have alot less of it. lol
