  • OOOOOh whatttaaaaa rush!

  • Unless you play for the Raiders Jesse then its legal LOL.

  • Wasn't Tom Stone the guy that sued the WWF because the LOD 'broke his neck' with the Doomsday Device? Or was that someone else?

  • Squash matches made way for main events.

now a days everything is a main event from start to finish, so the real main event is not really worth watching as opposed to earlier matches.

  • I don't see how guys like this jobber could have tried being wrestlers. Sure, easier said than done, but when you are that terrible at selling, how the fuck can you get a job wrestling?

  • what a beautiful powerslam

  • I remember the week before, either Superstars or Challenge said they were debuting and it said "Legend Of Doom" on the screen but VMJ still pronounced "Legion Of Doom".

  • Wow I didn't realize that the Legion of Doom were over with the fans right off the bat either that or the cheers from crowd are dubbed.

  • @666Horns - probably a little of both is my guess.

  • @666Horns

People knew who they were before they came to the WWF

  • fans loved the road warriors

  • in WWF they were just known as "Hawk" and "Animal", they didn't make mention of the Road Warriors name .

  • @ECWnWWF True, not until their second run in 1997. Even though they would still be officially known as LOD, JR and King would refer to them as The Road Warriors during commentary.

  • @ECWnWWF True, they were always usually referred to as The Legion of Doom during their WWF runs. It wasn't until the WCW buyout where they were mainly referred to as the Road Warriors simply because that's the name they were better known as. When Animal teamed with Heidenreich, they were referred to as the New Legion of Doom and not The New Road Warriors though.

  • Ckeck out how

Animal travel in mid air during the power slam 1:09 I had 2 see it again and again that shit was crazy. The Road Warrior were strong and athletic nothin like 2day's wrestlers.

  • "I think it's over." LOL

  • man i remember this day the lod in the wwf...classic!!

  • Sapphire at the end...LMAO!!!! "Gimmy sum geefts"

  • its disappointin that these guys havnt been put in the hall of fame yet

  • This had to be one of the last times Jessie Ventura announced right before his departure in August 1990 right before Summerslam if I'm not mistaking.

  • L.O.D!

  • dOOMSDAY dEVICE

  • This is when they acted like they had no past before they entered the WWF. What a joke. The Road Warriors were at their best in the NWA and AWA.

  • @danteras23 I agree!! They were there best in the AWA & NWA. Vince never acknowledged those organizations and brought in guys like they were brand new!

  • @mooky9669 Best in the AWA,UFC,NWA,WCW,UWF AND WWF(WWE)!!!!

  • what's the difference between roadwarriors and legion of doom? i thought they were just 2 names for the same team

  • its was like a sub-name. techinically they were road warrior hawk & road warrior animal, and together they were known as the legion of doom.

  • this fuckin shit aint loud enough Fuckkkkkkkkkkkk

  • The Best Tag Team ever!!!!

  • I believe this was Jesse Ventura's last broadcast as commentator before leaving WWF for good.

  • Pause clip at 2:03 - the gayest moment in wrestling history lol

  • @vaea46 what the fuck are you talking about

  • just pause it, and theres these 2 guys hugging eachother. haha. when road warriors win

  • hof 2010

  • R.I.P!!!!!

  • Can you believe this was almost 20 years ago?

  • What a powerslam by Animal!

  • Rattlehead1999, you have no clue of what wrestling was or is! Dickhead move really? That was ground breaking at the time! Maybe still is! It all comes back again whether you know it or not! There is but so many moves, different styles of the same move-yes! The same result of that Dick Head move - YES!! E-Mail me to get a real lesson!!!

  • Im not saying its not a spectacular move, cuz it is, especially for the time period, but watch any shoot where a guys talkin bout taking the DD. NO ONE liked it..it hurt like hell and the point of working is to Work not to hurt. Im one of those types that watches Everything, every shoot, every classic WCW/NWA/Japan video i can get a hold of, so dont tell me I dont know what wrestling is.

  • damn i miss these days

  • wwe need to bring back squash jobber matches

  • i agree...also, did you hear that on Off the Record with rob van dam?

  • And face paint. Jeff Hardy is really the only one who wears some face paint nowadays

  • they really do

  • They do have squash matches, like with Beth Phoenix on SD and with that new tag team on ECW.

  • They don't have squash matches today like they used to. They are rare when they do happen. They used to happen much more often and against jobbers who noone ever knew anything about. Today, alot ot the jobbers are known by the fans as FCW or indy talents

  • i agree

  • @666rocko

need to bring back jobbers, they all look like jobbers to me nowadays

  • @666rocko they were a great way to showcase a superstar's talents.

  • I was at this match everybody was so surprised to see them come out

  • atleast its a great move better than lots of moves wwe wrestlers do these days

  • You clearly dont apreciate the classics.... the move looked a lot dangerous of what it really was. thats the mark of a really professional worker u ass

read a little of this champs history before u open ur mouth and be seen like a stupid

  • what theme is this

  • are LOD in the hall of fame, if they're not they should be

  • They're not in the hall of fame yet.

  • They're in it now!

  • @toocoolcat they were inducted this year

  • It was mainly because McMahon had a thing about embarrasing NWA grown stars like Dusty and LOD. Around this time knowing that LOD was on their way in McMahon added a 3rd member of Demolition as a way to never have Hawk and Animal get the best of the original Demolition Ax and Smash.

  • by the time lod came to the wwf, they werent used as good as they were in nwa/wcw, they were no longer an unstoppable team, once they got to wwf they were pretty much used for feuds like hart foundation demolition and the nasty boys, but by then their careers were starting to end

  • I don't think that LOD lost a match in WWE for well over a year.

  • They won the tag titles. I'd say they had a good run. Not a great run with the Rocco stuff that happened in '92, but they still had a decent run

  • fans didnt really seem to give a shit about the lod. Pretty lame debut. Thank you for posting.
