It wasn't until the WCW buyout where they were mainly referred to as the Road Warriors simply because that's the name they were better known as. When Animal teamed with Heidenreich, they were referred to as the New Legion of Doom and not The New Road Warriors though.

They don't have squash matches today like they used to. They are rare when they do happen. They used to happen much more often and against jobbers who noone ever knew anything about. Today, alot ot the jobbers are known by the fans as FCW or indy talents

THe Doomsday Device...what a dickhead move. Have some regard for your co-workers safety..its almost impossible to take the move without the victims head bouncing off the mat from 6 feet in the air. But when did LOD care about the safety of there 'opponents'? They also stiffed everyone as hard as they could. Thats the mark of a bad worker, and the mark of a pair of dickheads.

It was mainly because McMahon had a thing about embarrasing NWA grown stars like Dusty and LOD. Around this time knowing that LOD was on their way in McMahon added a 3rd member of Demolition as a way to never have Hawk and Animal get the best of the original Demolition Ax and Smash.

by the time lod came to the wwf, they werent used as good as they were in nwa/wcw, they were no longer an unstoppable team, once they got to wwf they were pretty much used for feuds like hart foundation demolition and the nasty boys, but by then their careers were starting to end
