Someone offers me a GTX295 for 60 bucks,a hell of a deal !

My PSU is a Cooler Master Real Power M620(700W ready or something,QUAD-SLI,Modular,bla­h,blah,blah...) is enough to run that GTX295?

I have an i7 860 stock and 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz.

If u want to buy gtx295 - yes, it's worth it. I'm getting my used one today, in few hours. You can get the performance of gtx480 in much lower price. Mine's 500PLN=179$

@maverick19958 graphics card is a bit weak , go for something along the lines of a 5770 if you want a cheap card or a GTX560 / Radeon 6950 for something a bit more expensive.

Also the future of gaming is Quad Core processors so you might wanna think about an i5-2500k or i5 750 ....

GTX 295 you can hardly see the back-tire rim rotating, unless it's those spinners, they look more realistic on the 5970.

5970 the character close up looks discolored a bit, he looks great on the GTX 295.

@01sean GTAIV on PC is a much much more enhanced version of the console version, graphically I can see a massive difference as I have both the 360 and PC versions. Plus the frame rates are a lot higher and smoother too. Also we got a video editing mode included as well so we can make movies. Just look at the Mario Bors in GTAIV video.

Strikes me as odd. If both test rigs were the same, except for graphics card. Wouldn't the processor load be the same or close to the same? Seems like a lesser processor was used for the Nvidia demo to show favortism to the ATI card.

The GTX 295 is the equivalent of the Radeon 4870 x2 which uses much more power and the most power out of all graphics cards to be exact. It gets crushed. All Nvidia needs is a dual gpu on a single card to take the performance crown. The GTX 570 is on par with the new 6970 and it uses only 5-15 watts more than it and it costs less too. Of course the GTX 580 costs more but it also uses 5-20 more watts than the 6970, Nvidia is getting much more efficient in power consumption and performance ratio

lol this is funny the 5970 only needed to use 28% usage of the cpu and the 295 used 81%, and the 5970 was still doubling its FPS. if the 5970 was using 81% of the cpu it would triple or quadruple the 295's fps easy... funny and the 295 runs about 300 dollars on ebay still.i am not a fan boy of either card i just buy the best for the buck. and this last long while its always been ati. i seriously see nvidia going out of business being bought out by ati.
