Is it me, or are Beckett and Icecreamhead(Norrington) a perfect couple? Both of them are selfish, conniving, bloodthirsty, etc. I'd say they're a match!

I'd say yes to the former. But I would hardly say Norrie was selfish and the rest. Remember he let Sparrow go at the end of COTB? And after DMC he's clearly torn - in the end, he actually turns against Beckett. So - not so easy to judge the man!

He may have let Jack go but he regretted doing so later. He helped Beckett spill innocent blood and lead a reign of terror. He might've even killed Swann himself(I don't believe he didn't know. He's a liar.) He never turned against Beckett. He wants all the pirates to die-even Elizabeth. He was using her to get to Shipwreck and kill them all. He gave Jones the sword to kill Will. He died on Beckett's side. Icecreamhead is disgustingly evil and would rot in the deepest circle.

Why did Norrie let Elizabeth and the pirates go free then in AWE? If he 'wanted all pirates dead' as you say then surely he would have just taken them straight to Beckett and then the gallows. But he couldn't leave Elizabeth to that fate, and so risked his life to save theirs. Very selfless if you ask me.

Also, he hardly gave his sword to Jones with the intention of killing Will - Jones just took his sword from him after he killed him with it, then later used it to kill Will. That's not Norrie's fault!

...also its been a while since I saw the film but I really don't think Norrie played ANY part in killing Swann. The looks they shared in Beckett's office seemed  more like those of comrades than enemies.They were BOTH working for Beckett - whether they like it or not - and it aways seemed to me that they recognised in each other the fact that they knew they were working for a cruel madman, but there was little they could do about it.

Swann was a fool to believe Beckett would save Elizabeth. Icecreamhead enjoyed working 4 Beckett. I think Swann hated him 4 abandoning Elizabeth since he doesn't know she's alive. Swann could've done something;he's Governor. It doesn't matter if they were enemies or not. If Beckett ordered Icecreamhead to kill Swann, he would do it. To him, an order is an order. That's why I know he killed Swann. And of course, he lied when he stole the chest, so that adds merit.

Icecreamhead always hated Will because he knew Will was better. He knew Elizabeth loved Will and he hated him for that. He tried to kill Will numerous times in COTBP(on the Interceptor, leaving him to die, in Port Royal, etc) and then again in DMC, just because Will and Elizabeth were happy. He never said he regretted trying to kill Will or hating him. If he had the chance he would've killed Will himself. Instead, he got Jones 2 do it 4 him.

Well uh... just wanted to say, (and I DON'T want to start a big debate or anything), technically... Norrington is a commodore to the navy, yes? Well Will sided with a pirate. He actually commandeered a ship with a very famous pirate that is wanted. The fact that Norrington wanted to 'kill Will' was mostly because he decided to take the pirate life. Sure, he was probably jealous. He liked Elizabeth, Will likes her too... it's competition! Doesn't mean Norrington had it out to KILL Will.

He knew Beckett was aware of the location of Shipwreck Cove and on his way. Icecreamhead decided to follow Elizabeth there and trap her, so he, Beckett, Mercer and Jones could kill them all. Icecreamhead never gave a crap about Elizabeth, especially not during or after Dead Man's Chest. And he's a coward who gives his life for no one. He went to Beckett to save his own neck and didn't care if Elizabeth died. That's a selfish coward 2 me.

But you don't have to twist a very well developed plot into something that turns a heroic and genuine man into some nasty villain. He in fact did NOT give Jones any sword. When Jone asks him as hes dying whether he fears death, stabbing Jones is a way of saying "no i don't fear death." jones even says "i'll take that as a no."

Also, he regretted letting Sparrow go in the first movie because it RUINED his life. He resigned after losing most of his men in the storm as he was chasing Sparrow, and went to Tortuga. He took the heart at then end and actually DID save the others, because the crew members stopped attacking them, and instead followed Norrington, who could've easily been killed if not for luck.

He took a risk, it saved the others' lives, and regained his life from shambles. Even then he regretted taking it.

I loved the way it was put together, what i can make out from it is James wants Jack but he's bound to Becket, or i'm wrong. But all around it was an awesome video. so out of 5 stars . . . 100:)

When Beckett seals the letter with his ring, it looks like he's branding Norrington. A bit creepy, definitely dark. That's a perfect illustration of the quote at the end, which is also very dark.

Wow, I love this! The way I saw it was James wants Jack and Jack wants James, but James knows he belongs to Beckett who will do anything to keep him for himself, and especially to keep him away from Jack. Brilliantly done. I've never heard the song before, but it fits perfectly.

Makes me a little sad though, because my ships are Sparrington and Jackett, but Beckington won in the end! Oh well. ;)

Beckett is tempting James over to his side with 'comfort' and... well, James simply feels that he's fits in more with Beckett;s Navy than with Jack's pirates. Beckett holds out the compass during the whole vid, like he wants James to know what he really wants and wants him to make a choice. And what James really wants is Jack, but he still chooses Beckett because he thinks that's where he and his honour belongs.

Or I'm totally wrong. Great vid. Marvellous use of editing. Five stars!
