Something i think these people failed to see even though they pointed it out in a way saying that harp seal pups have a fluffly white coat yet in all three of these videos i did not se one fluffy white seal get clubbed or killed in any maner now that may just be that the footage is of other seals but still all the seals i did see get killed were adults and the other thing is that fro some of those seal hunters that is thier main sorce of income

Yeah, this is barbaric, these guys have no conscience. As awful as this is, I can't help but think about how many of the people who are disgusted and outraged by this and believe that this should be criminalized think that abortion shouldn't be. I think they let politics override compassion.

What does this have to do with abortion? In this case, people hunt living beings who are grown and able to feel.

In abortion case there is no hunting, no pain ( on the fetus side ) and it's not done for fun or money.

Having an unwanted baby will bring pain to both parents and the kid. Letting the government take care of him will take away many joys that a family normally offers. Also, if abortion would be made illegal in the whole world, in a few years the planet would be overpopulated.

The sad thing about those seals is not that they die, it is the fact that humans go for them and kill them for money. If they we're killed by another animal it would've been just a part of life.

People like you think they do good for humanity by forcing others adopt their beliefs. I think that I, as a person, I have the right to decide if I will reproduce or not. Like I said in the previous comment: having an unwanted child is worse then having an abortion, for both the parents and the kid.

There are so many cases of kids being mistreated, maybe people should try and solve that problem, and abortion is a part of that solution.

We should strive to make laws less restrictive to liberty. Reproductive rights should be guarded, within reason. The question is, which right is more important, life or reproduction? Now the argument that it is better to be aborted than to have a difficult life, I bet if you asked 100 sane people who have had hard lives if they would prefer to have been aborted you would hear a universal no. And about forcing my beliefs on others, wouldn't outlawing seal abuse be forcing your belief on others?

Making seal abuse illegal would stop them from suffering, so you would ban a wicked way of making money in order to save them. I think it's fair enough.

Making abortion illegal would force people to give birth in order to "save" a fetus that YOU think it can feel.

You see the difference? If my gf/wife gets pregnant by mistake and abortion is illegal we will be forced to have the baby so YOU can feel better about yourself.

I'm not going to debate too much into the wide subject, but I bet you're a christian who believes that people shouldn't have sex until after marriage. In that case you'll not have too much to worry about.

But think that there are people who don't believe in your god, and don't follow the same rules you do. In those cases your expectations don't apply to them.
