David Goggins is one of the best men this world has. He's nothing but pure motivation to anyone. I bet he's a real down to Earth guy in person too, I would love to meet him.
All of those negative side effects would lead me to believe the human body isn't meant to endure those kinds of distances. I guess he proved his body wrong.
@slothypunk I'm a future seal on my way to get my SO contract. The one person who disliked this video must have been al queda or another dumb person because they would not want to be at the other end of the trigger when we're pulling it. But thanks for staying true! Hooyah David Goggins!
Thinking of him makes me guilty all the times I slack off in cross country practice, everytime I fail to make my 4 mile run in 30 minutes, everytime I fail to do a 5 mile run in under 40 minutes, everytime I skip a long run. If I imagine his voice guiding me, I cannot fail. He is a motivation for me wanting to be in the military, specifically, special operations. If he can do it, I can certainly do it.
@crchrdsn Joint replacement is not a very common thing in ultra distance runners. One could lean towards believing that idea but the reality is that ultra runners are easier on the joints due to the terrain that they run on which is mostly soft trails. Also the fact that ultra running is not a face pace compared to a marathon or smaller distance race. Ultra running is as much (if not more) mental than it is physical. Thanks for posting!
Goggins is probably my favorite ultramarathoner. He's not the fastest timewise, but no one outclasses this guy. He inspires me like no other endurance athlete.
You fucking go in there and kick ass and take names. Remember what they say: Pain is 90% mental. The body will go where the mind leads it. And after you succeed just watch your buddies backs and they watch yours and do some good for the rest of us. If you're training for th program and its requirements in advance thats going to help a ton. The hardest things to overcome are the things we didnt expect or train for in advance.
@mswoonc or whatever....umm he actually failed bud/s the 1st go round buddy.....PEOPLE PLEASEDO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE SPEAKING!.....its as simple as that
@thegame52291 Yep he said himself he went through it twice. Who in Gods name else would be crazy enough to go through that hell twice? This guy motivates me. He aint perfect by far but he drives hard to push his limits.
@shkotay ya true..and for those idiots down there sayin i will fail Bud/s...we'll see..i workout with Stew Smith 4 days a week every week...so we'll see about that...
Just because you work out with someone doesn't mean that you're qualified, or that you're guaranteed a slot. You can and probably will still fail for another reason, if not for your PT.
