Wow. "Dress Cool". Yeah, that was a great song. Sure, the "cool clothes" are a little dated, but the spirit is a timeless one. And many thanks to Paul Shaffer and the World's Most Dangerous Band who taught an entire generation to....Dress Cool !
Rather amazing that there are people who actually think Paul is funny. Of course, his total lack of comedic talent and timing does contrast perfectly with Dave's humor and timing so, with his lack of talent in those areas, Dave's brilliance is highlighted.
It was a Film version for the whole show, Film Festival that was made up, fictional, but I taped this originally to Beta cassette, still have it as well. I was a big fan of the old Letterman, I felt it seemed more funny with less money that CBS put out. The thing you find is money don't make the funny!

This at least shows that Paul can engage in decent conversation. So untypical of his current lame attempts at humor. Today, he's best leaving his mouth shut and letting the band play. His comments only distract from the show. Sadly, Dave thinks he's great.
@carnaco2 WHAT?!?! Dave is alive and well...oh....1 year ago. I think Paul's just fine. One of the funniest bits around this time was Paul with Biff Henderson were hanging out and Dave had no one from the show to hang with, something along those lines, it was pretty good skit comedy on the show
Great clip. Very funny when Dave goes into the changing room and, of course, comes out unchanged. He was already "dressed cool." The film festivals this video and "You Kill Me" came from were really well done. The band always did a video, Dave's short films were good and Michael J. Fox did a very funny one as well. Dave should bring that back for his CBS show.

Hopefully, the day will come when Dave dumps him.

Sheer agony on last night's show when they gave Paul the Top Ten list to read.
I hope Dave gets better fast so we won't have to be subjected to Paul's nasal verbalizations.

Great how they are supposed to be dressed bad, but in the chorus they are wearing "hip 80s" clothes, which of course look pretty bad.
