to fuill the tires i would get a old air compressure tank fill it with windshield washer fluid then hook a air compressure to that tank and that would force it in the tires with a tire air chuck
one way the guys i tractor pull with get wieght on the back is by filling the tire tubes with windshield washer fluid. its noncorrosive and doesnt freeze so you dont get that heavy lump like if the calcium water mix isnt strong enough. you just have to find somebody with a pump to fill the tires for you or you should be able to make your own
@cubcadetpuller I like the windshield washer fluid idea and have wondered how I would fill the tubes. A local Tractor Supply said they need $130.00 to fill both 6x 16 wheels...They think I was born that morning...That was a ridiculous price.
Do you know of a method or home made pump? I thought about gravity feed?
i know of one guy that does farm tractor pulling that coverted a small 12v air tire pump to fill his tires. i think on the inlet of the pump he made a fitting that connects to gas line and it works about the same principle as moving air. you can only do a little bit at a time because you have to let the air out of the tube every so often. you have to put gas line inplace of the valve stem fitting, and you have to take the valve stem piece out so the flow is better and to let the air out.
We have a "Coleman" Dual Action hand pump which is used for an air matress. We just ran a test by filling the pumps air chamber with nearly 1 gallon of water..It worked great. I will video it tomorrow.
if you want to be able to fill the tire up as full as it can get, take it off the tractor and lay it down on the floor so you can get as much of the air out as possible. doing that also reduces the sloshing action that could cause you to roll more or slide if you have to stop quickly
Hey man you could always try using drum brakes from an old truck or tratctor trailer. as big as u can get.just tack em on there paint em for looks and ur good to go bud 5 stars from me for such clear good quality videos! and excellent progress reports man.
