So, in your mind you have conscripted a word (as with many other people have) to connote a racist slur although I, myself, use the word monkey for any primate (humans included) that attempts to fly or swing through the air?
It seems to me that you are insulting the mans' ability to connect the joke without conscripting it to racism. You, ironically, are saying this man is weak minded and would resort to violence before anything else.

Nice try. I understand your intellectual attempt, but it falls short. While we are descendants of primates, we are evolved past monkeys. Therefore, calling someone a monkey, especially a black guy, as it is a common insult (as I'm sure you know), is in a sense calling him primal and a part of a lower species.
I'd hardly call it weak minded to respond to racism to violence, I'd call it well deserved.

We didn't evolve from monkeys. Humans and monkeys have a common ancestor according to Evolutionary Theory. Humans are, by phylogenetic position and definition, primates. This has been known for 150 years. Modern monkeys and modern humans are evolved to the same point. We are not evolved "beyond" monkeys according to Evolution.
You must not be familiar with the Theory of Evolution.

Monkey isn't a scientific term, it's a generalized concept. Even if you try to take that stand, you are rationalizing a self-defeating argument, as in your first post you called him a monkey, not a primate, again proving your racism.

I didn't have to respond to what you said because it doesn't pertain to the argument, and I'm not testing it's validity as I know it is true. The question isn't phylogenetic in origin, so while your regurgitated facts are fantastic, they have no pertinence.
Claiming ignorance doesn't grant innocence. If you were to call a Mexican a "beaner", I could necessarily presume that you meant it in a racist manner rather than just "stating that he might like to eat beans".
