  • @levi7516 i thought it was surprising as well, but that was more because i was more used to seeing black people intrested in rapping or gospel. well that's just my take, being black myself, but then again I also like singing things besides what people think black people stereotypically sing. he's very talented as a singer though~

  • wait the lead guy is black?!

    thats a surprise

  • @Daskaar why is it a suprise lots of black dudes are good lead singers lol

  • i really enjoy this dude's voice! maybe me and my wife should start a band!

  • So...when does the rapping begin?

  • @XxlisettealvearxX when you start listening to real music

  • So...when does the rapping begin?

  • They've been on the scene way longer than bloc party.... And they're way less sellouts.

  • They've been on the scene way longer than bloc party.... And they're way less sellouts.

  • Anybody else hate that stupid tide cold water commercial this is in, yet love this song? Canadians do not like the cold. Shit heads. Anyways, great song.

  • Look h8er29 if your such a hipster that you can't spell all of the words right in that tiny ass post then you have no opinion

  • look man the dears are cool and all but not one of their bst song , in fact this song was a bit below good, it sounded like anyother clam inperational music. if the tittle fit the sont it would be great but it didnt the beat was to calm for the message.....

  • @h8ter29 Do you have the ability to form an actual sentance?

  • THE DEARS RULES............

  • these guys are just Morrisey rip offs.

  • the rentals + hootie = the dears

  • @lestergreen1 LOL what?? I've listened to both bands, and the only connection I can make is that a black guy fronts a band, and they happen to have keys in this band. Other than that, the sound/style, mood, and aesthetics are completely different. Eww hootie and the blowfish?? 90's butt rock. I love the Rentals though, good band.

  • @punkmusicmetal i'm glad to see you get part of the joke but the rentals keyboard players were two girls...and why would you call yourself punkmusicmetal listening to either one of these shit bands

  • @lestergreen1 psh whatever man. I listen to everything.

  • OH MY GOD!! Thiss ong---which I have been declaring one of the best Indie songs of this decade--- I JUST HEARD IT AS THE BACKGROUND MUSIC IN A FUCKING NUTRI-SYSTEM WEIGHT LOSS TV AD!!!! I am so ashamed, and confused, and I have no idea what's going on anymore.......fuck us all.......

  • @cpob1688 i heard it and i yelled DEARS and nobody knew what the fuck i was talking about.. haha

  • @cpob1688 AMEN!!

  • The best song of the decade!! Murray Lightburn is a genius.

  • Go Montreal music scene!

  • The world is really gonna love you........that line makes me happy.

  • I hope Murray & Natalia have found some band members that will stick with them for a long time now, as they need stability in the band, especially so they can record a new album for 2011. Most of all I admit I wish Valerie hadn't left, as many others have shrewdly observed, she is gorgeous!

  • Gimme an M-A-L, we're international.

I hang out with the Pariahs,

everyone has had their fun with me.

The world is really gonna love you...

  • actually, they're from Monteal, Canada

but yh, they're an amazing band, love 'em

  • Yes, I aware that they're from Canada...it's just that they are heavily influenced by british music...like the smiths, blur, etc...,which are great...and what makes the Dears special is that they make those music become greater and awesome...

  • It's amazing how they make british music seems new and powerful...Beautiful...

The world's gonna love you...The world's gonna love The Dears...The world should love the Dears

  • actually tho, they from Montreal, Canada

but yh, they're an amazing band

  • @IndonesianBond That is a pretty akward comment. what is «british music»? Music where people sing with a british accent? Does green day play british music? Does Björk and the Vines play «british music»? If a band says it is influenced by british bands, does it make it «british music»? Does music really have such a «national» character ? Is there a copyright on «british music» making that only brits should be playing it? If not them; What the fuck do you mean by that?!

  • @zobazoba69

    Yeah yeah yeah...Ohh...U're so smart,,,

    Dumb ass,,,

Who cares? I love the dears...n thats what I think bout them...If u don't like what i thought...well, just deny it politely...or else, just shut up...everyone has right to speak, rite?...beside, who cares bout what I think...

Be chill n Just listen to this music...

  • Not being racist but i like how the black singer plays a semi-hollow body.

BB Kings long lost son no doubt

  • ....ys he gotta b black haha jkjk

  • esta cancion me recuerda cosas tristes =( pero aun asi es buenisima

  • GIVE ME GOOSEBUMPS WHEN i LISTEN TO THIS SONG. jUST LOVE IT!!!

  • I saw The Dears twice, in Brooklyn and again in Manhattan last weekend. Definitely one of the best bands i've seen live. Their energy is just contagious, and they are really good to their fans. You can tell that they love doing what they do.

  • they sound NOTHING like Bloc Party....these two have totally different sounds

  • you know what they sound like to me?

    THE DEARS!!!!!

    original tunes

  • Yah to me too...I was just replying to the guy who said they sound like Bloc Party...Im like WTF????

  • ?!^^ cause its a white band and a black singer, or what do you mean?? anyway they dont realy sound like bloc party...

  • wow, i'm from germany? thats an amazing observation! now you dissed me really hard.. well you sound like typical native english speaker, bet you dont even know more than 3 words in another language... so stop hating people on youtube und posting pseudo-funny racist comment....

  • i found out about them a few years ago but never actually heard all of their songs. now, since i've heard their songs, they're one of my favourite indie bands.

  • Thats talent, a lot of artist always list the dears as an influance

  • i have just discovered this band recently, this song is not one of their best, but i love this band. they r the first band in a long time to make want to be a fan. brilliant
