  • I love Pontiac

  • WOw! that was a long commercial.

  • Cars from the 60's were awesome.

    Nothing cheap in them.

I wish they made cars today with those old designs.

    How cool would that be?

  • Can't say 1969 was the year of Pontiac lookers. I had a 1966 GTO, a 1970 GTO, and 1976 Trans Am..these were nice cars.

  • Вот каша реклама!

  • If those kids only knew how much that '69 convertible Firebird is worth today...

  • At least we can look at videos of real cars, since they quit making them.

  • @73849309378 There wereen't real cars, that's why they stopped making them, cause they were clunky & rusted & broke down & people stopped buying them. Ricers are inexpensive, get amazing fuel economy, & above all are a ton of fun to drive: Now that's a real car :)

  • @JuggernautJournalist LMHO you obviously don't know what a car is. Doesn't take much to entertain you.

  • @73849309378 Actually it takes ALOT 2"entertain" me: I demand a car with an engine that I can push the s***t out of that will never break down, like if its a totoyta all of which come w/ DHOC not SHOC & a CHAIN NO SQUEAKY BELT, nevers breaks, BOO YAAH!! . I demand cutting edge technology like variable valve timining that boosts performance AND keeps fuel economy low I demand lightweight material that raise weight2power ratio & give body sexy look: Ricers have that & pontiacs dont.

  • @JuggernautJournalist LMAO 60's American made cars would blow the doors off your foreign plastic TOY-ota cars!

  • 1969 was an amazing year for Pontiac! It's just so sad to see how Pontiac lost its stle & branding in its final decade of its existence.

  • Love the station wagon!

  • change for the sake of just change is not good to me. i realize technologies and safety made for necessary redesigns, but i would have preferred an eveloution of design ala M-Benz, they had the safety technology, the fit and finish and their cars looked the same from the 70's to the 90's and they were classic designs that still look good, not the new stuff...plasticky to me.

  • I drove a 1969 Bonneville Hardtop for 7 years and had a blast in it - lots of power and space!

  • it is amazing that the 5 Divisions of GM had such distinctive differences in the 60's and even into the early '70s. Rather sad now that we have to litter our roads and eyesight with "fortune cookie-cutter" Asian cars made of cardboard. The domestic auto makers are still making great cars but the styling and imagination seems faded away....Harley Earl where are you?

  • @italy4blktop - times change, and styles move on. Otherwise, we still would have been driving cars with fenders and running boards in the sixties. So it is today.

  • my dad had a 69 firebird and then went to oldsmobile for yrs and now has had 3 more pontiacs

  • I wish one of these cars would suddenly appear in my garage, I just hope my 3yr old son isn't playing in the garage when this happens.

  • Too bad Pontiac lost it's way! Sure was a great company in 1969!

  • @mytubejm I agree, a great car brand that went astray!

  • There was always something "special" owning a Pontiac. The look, the luxury, the sportiness. Wonderful well built cars of distinction. Nice jingle in this ad. 1969was a VERY good year for that brand. Keep your memories. Real shame this has gone away.

  • Pontiac - GM killed you!

Pontiac - They should have saved you!

    GM will go under too!

    But what can you do?

  • @madcapromanian Buy a Hyundai!

  • @liddlebopeep Gross!

  • @liddlebopeep A Hyundai can't even carry tailpipes of those 1969 Pontiacs...Those cars were built sturdy with style and speed that would leave the Hyundai eating exhaust smoke.

  • @cadillac4100 That was over 40 years ago. Show me something Pontiac builds today that is comparable....oh yeah, Pontiac doesn't exist anymore. I used to laugh at Hyundai and Kia, but now I would seriously consider buying one...they're just that good.

  • @liddlebopeep Yes that was 40 years ago, true that & Pontiac is no longer in existence..Though I have never owned Pontiacs of that era or any of them for that matter As a 25 year Cadillac owner I have great respect for those cars than I will a Hyundai or a Kia..I have 6 Cadillacs from 1973 to 1985 that will put to shame those piece of shits you call Hyundai or Kia...I will throw a bone at you..My cousin has a CTS V that will smoke away anything that Hyundai or Kia put on the road.

  • @cadillac4100

Are you seriously trying to compensate for having a small ***k? I could care less what your cousin drives. Fact of the matter is Hyundai/Kia are gunning for number one. Every model released by Hyundai is a segment leader or near the top of it's class. Sales are increasing at the expense of Toyota, Honda and the Detroit Three. Yeah, respect that.

  • @liddlebopeep The only thing Hyundai/Kia is gunning for number 1 is the front row seats of a garbage scow with Toyota.Hyundai a segment leader or near the top of it's class? Last class would be more like it. Youngster, Don't make me laugh! A Hyundai Elantra couldn't hold a tailpipe to any year Cadillac, heck my 1979 Eldorado,1973 Coupe deVille(2 of my 6 Caddys) will outclass & out run it.The only Detroit 4 that Hyundai & Kia will beat is Mercury,Plymouth,Oldsmobile & Pontiac. Case closed !!!!

  • @cadillac4100 Blah blah, no one cares about your 1970's land yachts. Those were the cars that destroyed Cadillac and GM's reputation. Bloated with poor quality, fake wire wheels, ugly vinyl roofs and engines that were choked by emission standards. Those eyesores have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Hyundai kicks ass and there's nothing you can do about it! BTW, the Genesis would absolutely smoke your precious Caddies.

  • @liddlebopeep You're a glutton for for punishment;a 1970 Cadillac Eldorado 500 CIDV8 at 400 hp would turn the Genesis into condoms which it was recycled from.So don't even tell me about quality.Hyundais are just cheap ass plastics that can break easily, Hell I can kick a dent in one with my bare foot. Those land yachts have steel bumpers.metal bodies that bend & don't break.A Hyundai would end up in the trash compactor . GM & Cadillac are here to stay Even a CTS-V will beat your Genesis STFU!

  • @cadillac4100 Yeah, a puny 400 hp from 8.2 FREAKING liters! Real impressive when you stick it in a land yacht weighing over 5000 lbs! Old man, you are dumber than I thought. If you think the fake plastic wood and peeling chrome on your Caddy is "quality" and "luxury" then I have some magic beans I want to sell to you.

Do me a favor and drive your Caddy off a bridge. Let's see how tough that pile of horse dung really is.

  • @liddlebopeep Ok you young punk. The chrome and my so-called plastic is not even peeling because it was well cared for by it's original owner who had it before I did .Hyundais sure have a lot of quality; cheap lawnmower engines made by Honda that can't handle the rigors of a V8..400 hp is impressive for a land yacht that weighs 5000. Hyundais are so liteweight that wind could blow it away like dried dog shit. You're just mad because Hyundais are the Rodney Dangerfield of cars No Respect So STFU!

  • @cadillac4100 Idiot! Honda builds the world's best engines, the S2000 has the highest output per liter - 120hp/liter! It will surely outlast any engine built by Cadillac! Now compare that with 400 hp from 8.2 liters. If the Caddy made the same hp/liter it would make more than twice that output. 400 hp from 8.2L is inefficient and quite frankly pathetic! And so is your taste in cars. Gross!

  • @liddlebopeep Honda makes aluminum engines you moron..the 8.2 Liter is an iron block engine which means it won't be prone to falling apart like your brain is right now(LOL!)..120hp?? against 400 hp?? Who do you think would win that If you say 120 hp you are as stupid as horse dung even more stupider than the hot sun on mercury..

  • @cadillac4100 You got shit for brains old man. I said 120 HP PER LITER. If the Caddy made 120 hp PER LITER like the S2000, it would make 984 hp (8.2L x 120hp/liter) TOTAL. At 400 hp, it doesn't even make half of the potential hp Honda is able to wring out of one liter. The S2000 will kick your Caddy's ass: 2800 lbs and 0-60 in 5.4 seconds.

So what is 400hp? Do you take into consideration curb weight, aerodynamics, transmission ratios, etc.? Old people are so useless!

  • I thought this was a boat show....

  • wow it's like the pontiac's are appearing out of thin air! I'm sure this gave many a poor unsuspecting 60's youngsters nightmares! scaary stuff kids! like monster chiller horror theatre!! ..uh i got nothin ..

  • Pontiac had the nicest looking cars during this time period.

  • @spdskte still does...

  • 0:40 looks like the estate from the 70''s show

  • Pontaic did break away. Obama Baby gave them the "BOOT" from Government Motors GM .......LOL

  • sounds the dimension's like singing...very 1969 lol

  • r.i.p.

  • Government Motors did break away and left Pontiac in the dust. LOL

  • my father has a grand prix from 72 =)

  • pontiac looked great in the 60's

  • gtoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • damn 40 years ago

  • breakaway in a gtoooooooo

    pontiac..

    pontiac

  • had a tempest,should of got the GTO...about $4500 back then.

  • @sportsaddict1942 wow that was big money...like 45k today?

  • Great commercial! The '69 GTO was really a big change and people really stared at them, the Music sounds like "Ford, It's the Goin' Thing"

  • I am so happy to have found this video!! I remember hearing this song at an auto show when I was a kid, and then singing it all the time--to the dismay of my parents. Thanks for sharing! Awesome video.
