It was Martha Ladly (The blonde keyboardist) who really went places after this with 'The Associates'/'Roxy Music' etc, then had a total change of direction, she is a university professor today.

I cannot deny that she looks a bit creepy. Anyway, the genius of Martha & The Muffins isn't focused exactly here, but in the later Lanois releases ("This is the Iceage", "Dancepark","mystery walk") where they sound noisy and creative, full of humor and energy, and very similar to talking heads working with Brian Eno.

I worked with a guy who played bass in a band with Martha Ladly in the late 80's in Toronto. )

He said she was great to work with.

The bass player was Mike Witzenhausen.

Can't remember the name of the band though.
