I also love this drama, I think that the ending was realy special because they change nobuta's life and became the best friends ever. Made me desire to have a expirience like that. i don't think it's sad, that they aren't together anymore at the end, because now, nobuta can make friends, she's popular and that's all thanks to shuji and akira. they completed their mission and you can see, that nobuta can live on happily, even without these 2. i think it's a very nice ending :)

lol, I know. Nobuta wo Produce is known to some as the most slashable J-drama ever, actually.

Well, the main character Shuuji ends up moving away to another place, leaving the other two together and him alone. But then when Shuuji goes to his new school, he sees that the guy friend of his got there before he did and enrolled so they could go to the same school. The girl, Nobuta, stayed behind though.

It's worth watching, even though it doesn't have any romantic pairing in the end. ^^
