  • To the jackasses who are pointing out that the Spartan's didn't flip tires:

This is a simulation for flipping the bodies of dead Persians; which, by the way, are heavier and more awkward to flip than a tire.

  • @poweraderules1 uh u do that lets seen how athletic u get compared to doing athletic workouts

  • anyone else notice they're playing shinedown ?

  • Looks like what Crossfit Instructors do to their classes.

  • Puddle of mudd ftw

  • Puddle of miss ftw

  • Man this looks sweet, where can I go do this???

  • @ItalMafioso AT TOTAL PERFORMANCE SPORTS AND FITNESS IN CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA!!!!

  • The reason Spartans were ripped up is because since the age of 7 they lived in the army barracks and trained in warfare with all the weapons and armor so..... Thats probably why they were in shape :)

  • This looks easy (Sarcasm). When I trained at Jackson's MMA they had us do stuff like this.

  • Where did spartans get socks from?

  • You know what I hate is a trainer who looks like crap. And this guy needs to be training with him as well. It's easy to clap your hands and tell someone what to do. However, I'd like to see him participating at the same time. I can guarantee you he will be sucking air too. That's why I despise trainers at the gym who looks like their a couch potato!

  • daaayyyyuuuummmmmmmm this shit looks fucking hard props to that guy

  • I cant believe you didnt puke in those tires at the end.

  • the spartan training we do is a bit different. but this looks just as hard

  • @josh1212121 awesome!

  • training looks mean..

  • looks like an awsome workout

  • THIS DOES NOT LOOK FUN AT ALL

  • @kennyr885 jk sign me up

  • That looked so painful. I kinda wanna try it.

  • Awesome, really nice methods! I found some more which fit perfectly:

    bit. ly / proworkout

Really good and free trail offer!

  • I am 41 years old, I am 5'6", and I weight 158. I did not practice this, I had witnesses, and I completed this original version that the actors did, in 19:50.

The only alteration I made was I dropped the jump box to 20". Given that I am much shorter than the actors, I felt jumping 4" less was reasonable. However, I did lift the same weight as them, so that more than makes up for it. I do not recommend this for anyone who has lower back problems. Thanks for posting!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • @pelsass i am 13 years old and i am 5'9" man your short

  • Comment removed

  • @MegaFUZZYDICE Focus on beating my time, doing the same weight and requirements...that is your task.

  • so basically a 300 workout is anaerobic training.

  • Where did the Spartans get tyres from??

  • your an idiot

  • Try a few wooden cart wheels strapped together....same thing.

You get an "E" for effort.

  • haha. form their john deer.

  • @steveie1975 jajajaj agreee !

  • @steveie1975 No shit lol

  • @steveie1975 bridgestone

  • Hey man, this training is awesome. Keep it up

  • Wow. That looks tough. Pure stamina and strength.

  • hahaha RAIN trained a lot harder

  • dont forget restitution. these are some mean workouts :)

  • great workout!!!! burn fat burn fat burn fat...

  • Mhickory dnt fuckin worry there are so many ignorant people out there!! who have kno clue how hard these workouts really are! i have done them and they are really hard and make you push!!! fuck off if u dnt know what ur talking about

  • thanks goodmilk

  • listen man dnt listen to filtyh j ur in good physic dude the other guy is just a hater and a low life hes either fat or skinny the point is he isnt in good shape thats why his a critic, my bet is hes an 20 stone guy goes around talking the talk lol

  • I didn't know Spartan's flipped tires 3000 years ago!!!

  • they flipped woolly mammoth skulls

  • @mhickory there were no mammoth in greece at all...i am a greek so i know better

  • THEY HAD GARAGE???

  • @xman1967 hahah

  • ok moron, yes, that one is easy, go to my video entitled total performance spartan 300 workout. ok puss?

  • great video and great channel, this is the next level for 99% of the population.

  • This is some hardcore shit--getting sick just watching it hehe

  • Todd the trainer in this video has since been back hitting the weights hardcore in addition to this method of training..

    He is a true Athlete

  • nice workout routine. need to hit the tires with a sledgehammer too. smack the guy with a stick when he wants a break. couple months from now he wont' need to take a break. add some creatine to your diet.

  • sledge is in the other videos

  • Man I want a trainer like him man.....need someone to piss me off like that in 1:05

  • soccer practise works on ur legs mainly this is a full body workout

  • if your a pussy. otherwise its the beautiful game, the worlds most popular sport that requires, strength, speed, stamina and intelligence...so seeing as im sure u lack all of those traits i would probably not say anything

  • I'm sorry but the only soccer I ever watched was Fifa and that's exactly what I saw. So why don't you keep making big calls from behind your computer.

Oh by the way it's "you're" not "your" I hope you can appreciate the irony in your own post, especially the part about intelligence.

  • You're, you are, your, ur. it gets the point across. I understand the difference between spelling and meaning, your is used as possessive while you're is an abbreviation for you are, but quite frankly this is youtube, not English Composition 101. Also, I'm sorry stating the obvious was ''making big calls'' as you put it. I just don't like it when some one talks down on something they know absolutely nothing about.

  • No. Thats football

  • tough workout that guy is in good shape.

  • amazing

  • beastler1243 is a douche he's probably a fat ass who sits on the computer all day and is jealous of otheres who knows what there doing

  • i agree with you

  • wait who do you agree too, beastyler1243 or me?

  • O dat look hard , I'mma outta breath Looking at this

  • 17 hours of grappling, lol dam man. I cant even stay awake for 17 hours without feeling tired at some point.

  • 17 hours yer bsing but this guy could've done better at the sprinting idk what this is like but i workout alot and do alot of sports at school not gunna say he sucks though i heard about this workout and read about it. seems like hell with weights.

  • Nice

  • sure ya do homo

  • lmao the average person isnt evean awake 17 hours a day

  • Looks like a Crossfit WOD (Workout of the Day)....

  • Good workout. Intense, 20 mins. I do MMA too, i train for 6 hours a day, two in the monring two in the after noon and then 2 at night. Cardio in the morning, Weights for afternoon and Muay Thai and Gracie Jujitsu at night. This one they are doing is like the cave man workout. I love know new work outs, coz you know what, A work out is a work out, depends on the person if its good or not, if your the type who does it half ass then its useless if you do it with passion the its a good workout

  • your probably one of the kids that started mma after watching never back down. huh? your pretty cool. training like that would bulk you up to much to fight with anybody other than fucking Brock Lesner. haha lying faggot. and you probably have no life due to all of your "training" reacharounds don't count as a forearm exercise.

  • whats up with the hating? i actually started when my cousins tought me how to grapple. Before MMA I was doing body building. Im a liying faggot? come on dude. seriously? why you gotta act like that? i dont go and talk shit about others workouts. i dont care as long as its being done.. it bulks you up or not, still cardio still workout, why you got to act like an asshole?, damn relax mr workout master. yes i have no life because of working out. thats my life its my joy.

  • yeah beastyler1243 is a fagg but i have a few questions?

im 13 im 5'11 and 210 pounds and i have a good build and io was wondering if i can lift weights yet? cause your a body builder and i would guess you would know.

  • my suggestion dude. DOnt do weights. I mean if you wanna be a body builder then fine. But let me tell you something your gifted. to be 13 and be 5 11 and 210 thats crazy. Um all i can say is ...just workout you know? keep the cardio up. Depends on the sport you wanna do. I was a body builder, Tore my back muscles when i was 16 havent been the same then. Now all im doing is Boxing muay thai and jujitsu, i try to get in shape but yah its hard when your now 100% just do lil weights .

  • Thanku im cant play footbal cause i hit weight limit so im gonna take juitsu... u know Gracie if you can give me some tips or any good types of martial arts and people laugh at me but i want to join ufc and just could use tips thank u

  • im now 20 i started when i was your age. So just take care of your body, be scientific about it, i made mistake, i didnt do that when i was young i just thought i could just start liftin and get buff and strong. haha ended up hurting me, just do what you can, workout be healthy. Stay away from greasy food, Lift light weight and do more cardio and STRETCHING. Thats my advice bro

  • and also, i have heart problems so thats one reason why im doing this, also got a bad eating habbit im pinoy so i eat a lot of greasy food, im not saying im a fighter, im a practitioner, i just do it for fun so relax dude, im not competing with you or anyone

  • that was weak champ

  • mma training is much harder than this

  • um, yes it is poser, never said it was not, but it is not harder than our total performance 300 workout. 20 minutes long. do it pussy

  • gasp! 20 minutes?!? try 2 hours of brazilian jiu jitsu grappling everyday...then get back to me. 20 minutes a day would be a nice little vacation

  • no dude, you are not hearing me. it is 20 minutes non stop. you are not going 2 hours straight without a break tough guy. these guys, besides me and the girl, are pro athletes. it kicked their ass.

  • um actually we do pretty much go nonstop the whole time

  • and that was hardly "nonstop" you were not going full throttle, especially with the tire flipping. watch Sean Sherk's "caveman" training, that's "nonstop". you train for looks, we train for endurance and cardio b/c we actually compete against others

  • stop the ignorance young friend, stop

  • stop talking bullshit already.

  • then you can get back to me.

  • this is hard.. but discipline is the key!! i'll do try doing this thanks..

  • Nice!

    i got 2 quesiotns

-this workout is ment to be done once a day?

-does it work on the power and durbility of the body?

    -how much those tiers weight

  • yes because it is a short workout maybe 6 or 7 minutes. interval cardio, overall endurance for power. 90 pound tyres.

  • are you wearing nike shox ??

  • yep

  • yes it is tough for me asshole. as i explain dick, i was just a bodybuilder at the time, never doing this type of workout and no cardio. so not bad for being untrained. so f u ya fat lazy poser.

  • I know I couldn't do all that. I am impressed.

  • Comment removed

  • Haters...gotta love 'em. Somehow they feel better trashing others oblivious as to how it makes them look to the rest of the world. This guy is obviously in good shape. His video showcases just how brutal these types of workouts can be. I'll bet if he keeps with it, his next video is dramatically better.

  • Nice! Feel the Burn!!!!

  • I WANT TO DO THIS SO BADLY!!!!!

  • singing was to help them intimidate the enemy and give orders louder and clearer, dancing was to help them with their footwork, discipline, march(they had to move with rythm of drums) and military manouvers

so i dont see anything LOL in that

  • if you look at the behind the scenes dvd, you can see that their abs are insanely ripped even without lighting or cgi.

  • the actors in 300 actually had to do a shit load of wieght and training before the movie its not fake

  • Do you guys not understand that it doesn't matter that the tires not that heavy, its the number of repetitions he's doing? fuckin duh go get some exercise then maybe you'll get it

  • ok fatass.

  • you're an idiot

  • id be impressed if you got off ur fat ass.

  • not talking about the movie, they had rigorous training regimes, boys at age of 7 were punished harshly if they couldnt perform the tasks given, they were usually whipped till they passed out and the whipping person yelled at them not to pass out so soon thus making them more resistant

  • hahaha looks painfull!

  • they need to practice with bigger tires!!

  • what we are told in class, they had to run 20 kilometres every morning, the first boy had a rest, the other boys had 20 more kilometres running but in crouching position. Then they carried some 15-20kg stones to build their fitness, after that boys had to break wood with their hands so the teacher could make them a bed which was not a bed but spiked trees on which they slept(to teach them to resist pain).Later on they were taught in close combat, wrestling, dancing, singing and killing.

  • are you talking about the movie or..?

  • He is talking about the real life training hundreds of years ago.

  • lol dancing, singing and KILLING! lol

  • Good work and i couldn't agree more with

    bjjwidow's comment! Big thumbs up!

  • and THAT is why only the hard and the strong may call themselves SPARTANS.... only the hard only the strong.

  • hmm, i have never done anything with tires so i cant say much, but it doesnt look super entence. i want to try it though, i think i can do it

  • it doesnt look super intense? look at the guy doing it, he looks so tired after the 2nd tire and he looks like a fit guy :o

  • how heavy is the wheel? i mean if its like 200 pounds then yeah thats fucking intence

  • hah i have no idea :p

i would like to try this workout tho, i would really like to see if i would be able to pull this off

and by the way, whats up with all these 300 workouts, i was looking at clips from the movies and suddenly i see a bunch of supposedly 300 workout training vids popping up....

and all carrying the name: the REAL 300 workout :p

  • yeah i dont know, i would try to figutre out the first vid of it, and im guessing the rest are all ripoffs

  • damn, that is intense. There is no way I would b able to complete that.

    Really intense training

  • Ive done this workout before..however I was too sore to finish, so I only did part of it.

It felt like I tore my quads, hams, delts I was sore all over! I loved it! Aghhhhhh!!!!!!

  • it must be painfull

  • looks like fun.

Good job mike. Dd you keep the routine even when you were done?

  • oh ya, i kept it

  • wow that looks extreme he flipped s trscker tire o.O how many ppl do u kno can do this?

  • Many. Its the reps that are tiring.

  • the guys working like hell. bunch of fannys sitting on your computer critisizing.get some kettlebells and get a sweat on and shut the fuck up

  • that workout looks unforgiving.

  • looks like murder

  • the spartans had tires? who does he know what they did.

  • from their manuscripts dummy, no, they rolled rocks and logs

  • of course the original spartans didn;t have tires, workouts are modified and adapted to the newer times

  • From what I have seen, the 300 workout is a variation of the Crossfit workouts.

  • crossfit came second. SPARTA came first.

  • holy crap! how heavy is that last tire??? whoa!

  • He's doing it wrong, you hurt your back lifting tires that way. Crouch first, then lift.

  • Thats a hell of a workout.

  • You look like a bodybuilder alright...Off season and atrophied to hell and back. Weak.

  • here we go again folks, another fatass asshole with no videos, sitting behind his keyboard wishing he could get through a workout like this. what a joke.

  • hahaha I agree

  • god damn thats hardcore

  • those should be 300 or 400 lb tires

  • ok.. but how many times a week do I have to work in this??

  • for the full effects i would say all days in a week for like 3hours

  • Jeez... what a MARATHON comment tree...

  • hahahahaha. wrong greeks though.

  • actually no. spartans, individually, posesed the same skills as any general in any other army. There is no one phalanx. phalanx is a term used for a greek formation. the masadonians had one style, the athenians had one style, the only ones who had and used various forms of the phalanx were the spartans.

  • all that was directed at bliinkstatus and his made up "knowledge"

  • Second point : homosexuality.

As every young boy had to have a mentor to teach him philosophy, living, etc, this mentor had to teach about sexuality too. That being said, the greeks didn't encourage people to be gay nor promoted homosexuality. Some philosophers, though, had a plan about an army of men based upon homosexual love so soldiers would fight two by two and the mutual love would make them stronger, with better morale, more organized, etc.

  • Sorry guys but you need to get your facts straights. I'm a history student and reading your ignorance makes me sick.

The spartans : they were the best trained soldiers among the greeks but they were not really "military genius" as the combat style of this time was the phalanx. But they were the best at it. That being said, the battle of Thermopyles included a lot more people than the spartans. It's only the spartan king who decided to sacrifice his 300 men.

  • my legs hurt just from watching that!

  • ahahah what a joke

  • they had tires in the 300 years??

  • 2k years...

  • you failed

  • Not easy!

  • The Spartans had tires?

  • Yes, They had. But made of wood. JEJEJEJE

  • i bet if someone from the ancient world got the real spartan workout, everyone of us guys would want it so we could become the same as them

  • the ancient spartans are over rated, todays special forces units are much
