so my question is, was his case ever looked at again?
was he truely a victim of the corrupt (mafia run) Pennsylvania justice system?
@bugsycline All of the followup legal attempts were blocked by the courts. His case fell into this grey area (since he died and was never technically sentenced) which made any future legal action difficult. Overall I think he killed himself as a warning to others that the injustices he faced could happen to anyone, anywhere.

No, it ain't! No, it ain't! Fuck Dwyer! Fuck you! I'm glad he did it! Suicide is the coward's way out, ad it is the most selfish act a person can commit. Suicides ALL go to Hell, all of them, except for those who sacrifice themselves for other people's lives. Budd Dwyer merely didn't want to go to jail; guilty or not, he was scared, and I'm glad he's fucking dead. I watch this video every day and laugh my fucking ass off, then go outside and piss so maybe it will drip into Hell on him.
The only Hell I know of is in the state of Michigan, about 80 km or 50 miles west by north west from Detroit. It is about halfway between Detroit and Lansing. I'm not sure about the 'hell' the other guy was mentioning though.

From what i understand, He was a politician that was NOT taking bribes. He was a Serpico and those above him plea bargained in return to teaming up to try him as the bribe taker. He was offered a plea bargain of 5 years max to plead guilty, he refused. I have been told there was no evidence other than the witnesses who had plea bargained. The judge infact said he was "invigorated" when the jury found Budd guilty (seems rather wrong doesnt it, that a judge was cheering?)
They accidentally broadcast the DISCHARGE of the gun on the ABC affiliate in Phila. Pa. (WPVI) while covering BREAKING NEWS of the press conference. I even remember the name of the female anchor who was sitting at the desk that day. It was Chris Wagner (who got a job with PENNDOT for a while after leaving the studio a few months or yaers later).

I saw the Dwyer video. I'm not sure why I wanted to see it, or what I was expecting, but it just made me really, really sad. I felt bad for him that he felt that was his only way out... I don't know, it was just sad.

I got to miss only a hand few of school days growing up (strict parents) and one of them was the day he killed himself as I watched on TV. It was surreal. No one believed me as we didn't have internet and all that when I told firends what happened. Man, that was so very very strange to see.

anyways, not ALL but most of the press took the chance to focus all the states blame on to Budd, but never did the journalism to see that there wasnt any evidence really and that he was basically being tried with evidence from those already having taken plea bargains.
Only a handful of journalists did their jobs and investigated.
He wasnt going to take the fall and had no money left to fight. If he went to prison his wife and child would have no money.

From what i understand, He was a politician that was NOT taking bribes. He was a Serpico and those above him plea bargained in return to teaming up to try him as the bribe taker. He was offered a plea bargain of 5 years max to plead guilty, he refused. I have been told there was no evidence other than the witnesses who had plea bargained. The judge infact said he was "invigorated" when the jury found Budd guilty (seems rather wrong doesnt it, that a judge was cheering?)

They accidentally broadcast the DISCHARGE of the gun on the ABC affiliate in Phila. Pa. (WPVI) while covering BREAKING NEWS of the press conference. I even remember the name of the female anchor who was sitting at the desk that day. It was Chris Wagner (who got a job with PENNDOT for a while after leaving the studio a few months or yaers later).

I saw the Dwyer video. I'm not sure why I wanted to see it, or what I was expecting, but it just made me really, really sad. I felt bad for him that he felt that was his only way out... I don't know, it was just sad.

i just watched this vid and its pretty bad, he seemed likeanice enuff guy but its pretty bad with the blood and how its so fast but nothing is as badas the nick berg beheading, i watched it once a few years ago, and it was just terrifying.......it made me want to snatch a coupe al qaeda and cut therefuckin heads off and it wasnt like justa swift chop of a sword, its five guys holdin one guy down while another guy ruthlessly cuts his head off. nobody deserves that.......except maybe those guys

I got to miss only a hand few of school days growing up (strict parents) and one of them was the day he killed himself as I watched on TV. It was surreal. No one believed me as we didn't have internet and all that when I told firends what happened. Man, that was so very very strange to see.

once youve seen your friends get slammed at killed by a semi from the side at 60mph and hold thier bodies as they die. this video of bud dwyer doesnt bother you. the video is yes, raw, but disturbing i think not. the man took a cowards way out even if he was falsely accused, should have just taken the 5 years he would have been a heck of a lot better off.

Nah that video isn't as bad as some horrible shit i have seen before. Just don't look for any videos of stuff like this. I saw a video of terrorist *looking guys* slit a mans throat, he then made horrible wheezing noises for 20 seconds before they cut off his head. They then shot about 10 people in the back of the head with an AK47. That video made me depressed for about a week, and the feelings come back when i think about it.... please, just don't watch stuff like this for your own good.

I agree 100% with you. The first time I saw was in "Bowling for Columbine" but was too quick and didn't the story behind this scene. The second time when I looked in the Internet and wow... it was a complete shock. Four years has passed and I still remember that frightned and shocking scene of him shooting himself up and falling. I'll try not to see again but I wanna see this documentary.
