I love the humor in Mummy, the Mummy Returns, and the Scorpion King. A situational comedy and an adventure make a terrific combination. They lost the flavor in Mummy 3.

Indy was just as enjoyable for similar reasons.

I love the Last Crusade, however, because the symbolism of the approaching of the Grail was fantastic.

@dogzilla564 I totally agree with you. I prefer the prequel trilogy over Indy 4 because at least there was a developed plot from the start. The real problem was the execution of the plot. Indy 4 was entirely pointless. The third movie was called the Last Crusade. Indiana Jones 4 and Mummy 3 have one thing in common: The Big Lipped Alligator Moment!

Indy 4 was great, no film will ever be as good as raiders though. The mummy 3 didn't need to be made, neither did the mummy returns. Oh and The Dark Knight was NOT the summer champion...it was pretty good but Indy will forever dominate. Nuff' said.

Well lets get this straight. I don't care which Indy movie you think is the best. I LOVE them all...it is just a well known fact that Raiders is the greatest of them all. It is also a well known fact that Crystal Skull doesn't live up to the originals as much as some would have liked but I LOVED every second of it.

Ok... I do know that it is a well known fact that Raiders is the best, but in my opinion, The Last Crusade is my favourite. You may think that Raiders is the best, but I think that Crusade is the best, with Raiders taking a close second and Temple of Doom at 3rd, and yes, I think that Indy 4 did not live up to the original 3.

Well, It is totally fine that you like Crusade the most. You are entitled to your opinion of disliking Indy 4, but I would like you to give it one more chance. I think you should read this review. Actually, the Mummy series isn't a ripoff of Indiana Jones. It's the remake series from the original Universal Horror film(s) with Boris Karloffe. "The Mummy" from the '30's is highly recommended to go and see. It's excellent!

It was George Lucas who had final say on the script though. That's why there has been such a delay over the past few years in pre-production for the film; he didn't like any of the ones presented or chosen by Spielberg.
