1996年 總統大選 民主進步黨提名候選人彭明敏敗選感言: 我們不要大而假的中國，我們要小而真的台灣，恭賀李登輝先生當選台灣總統
2000年 總統大選 中國國民黨提名候選人連戰敗選，結果支持者霸占黨中央前街頭毆打官員，要求黨主席李登輝前總統下台，動亂台灣好幾個月((輸不起))。
2004年 總統大選 中國國民黨提名候選人連戰連敗 再度敗選 提出選舉無效之訴，這次支持者竄連全台，暴亂台灣好幾個月((輸不起))。
2008年 總統大選 民主進步黨提名候選人謝長廷敗選感言: 台灣人民已經用選票做出決定，這是我個人的挫敗，不是台灣主體性的倒退，我們接受敗選的事實，恭賀馬英九先生當選台灣總統。

china is not 支那, china is china, and yes i do love china because i am chinese, not necessarily the government but the country as a whole. of course people might like to consider themselves a different nationality which i respect, but all i am saying is when it comes to race we are the same. and sry for the swears in the comment.
