What disturbs me is that "The Communist Manifesto" by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels is included as the 100 Classic books pre-loaded (at least by Chapters/Indigo in Canada.). Communism has killed at least 130 million people so far. 10% of all Canadians are refugees from Communism or the descendents of refugees from Communism. Tell the Chapters / Indigo bookstore monopoly you are not interested in buying mandatory Communism with your e-book reader!
@Dracopol Do you think really "communism" killed 130 millions of people? Man, read a man called "Robert Kurz" and you will learn that Marx and Engels does not have any guilty by the "natural evollution of capitalism". Marx and Engels are obrigatory literature for those want to know more about the real evolution of capitalism way of production. Thanks.
@aleistersenna Communism really DID plunge several billions into darkness and misery, and by creating unrealistic expectations of "voluntary/forced sharing", created so many dissidents (since humans naturally show revulsion to Communism) that the duly-appointed Communist authorities in every single Communist-infested land had to kill millions upon millions, particularly in China and Russia.
love your video! this is exactly the type of video i was looking for. one where it really showed the ereader instead of just listing the technical aspects. Thanks!!
Why dont you reviewers do more hands on review instead of taking it out of the box and oggling at it. Lets see how fast the page turns, how quick does it turn on? How do you pick a book you want to read out of 100 titles? Is there a plug adaptor to recharge the battery or do you have to charge it by plugging in via USB? DO MORE HANDS ON REVIEW PLEASE!!

@ps249 Don't be moronic, the kobo website has a hands on review and other youtube videos have those sort of reviews as well. Or if you want a real hands on experience, go to the retail store that sells the Kobo and try it yourself!
You're so cute. Thanks so much for the review. I've wanted an ebook reader, havn't bought one because they're so expensive. So I was surprised to see the Kobo's price when I went into Chapters yesterday. Hopefully I can buy it soon!
I like your review. I'm thinking of buying one for my mom tomorrow at Chapters. The only thing you might want to mention is that it looks like you left the shiny plastic on your Kobo during the review. Would have been cool for you to show people how non reflective it really is. But thanks for sharing your Kobo unboxing with us.
It's released in Australia May 19th, I am going to get one, I had a Kindle but the page turn buttons annoyed me, I was always accidentally turning pages. The Kobo will be $199 Australian when it's here. I can't wait!!!!
what a waste of time

Best feature is the size. At last - an ebook reader that is similar size to a paperback.

do you have to download the books from the kobo e-reader or you can put in book from anywhere as long as it's under the available formats?
